Stampin' Up! Sweet Little Something for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to another Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Is this your first time? If so, this is how it works: Each Thursday some of Amy's team get together to create beautiful projects for you to peruse. We are either given a sketch or color challenge and this week just happens to be a color challenge.

This is what I made for it.

Fortunately, I can make this my second entry at #WWYS162.

I started by creating my card base of Thick Whisper White and mats of Old Olive and Marina Mist. I cut my art panel out of Whisper White and stamped the bunny in Marina Mist using my Stamp-a-ratus (available June 1). This is a three stamp set from Sweet Little Something. The hearts are from Heart Happiness and I stamped off once and then stamped them on the art panel in Old Olive. I stamped the sentiment in Marina Mist. His bow is Old Olive Baker's Twine and held on with a glue dot. I edged the panel with my Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker. Then I adhered all the parts together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the card front was done.

For the inside...

I have a mat of Old Olive and Marina Mist. The art panel is Whisper White and the "It's Your" is from Birthday delivery and the "1st" and "birthday" from Number of Years...stamped in...you guessed it... Marina Mist and Old Olive! I adhered everything together and my card was finished! But you aren't finished yet...

Stampin' Up! Picture Perfect

Happy Wednesday, peeps! Today my husband goes for his quarterly scan and we are hoping for a good report but are prepared for otherwise. So, with that said, I want to bring you our favorite bird...

They are truly fascinating, aren't they? The patterned paper (Fabscraps) is a sheet given to me by a friend, cut at 3 3/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2". The circle is punched with the 2" circle punch. The fussy cut humming bird is from the retired Picture Perfect stamp set. It's a 4 part stamp and I used Marina Mist, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette and Tempting Turquoise inks. I adhered it with Tombow. I'm entering my card in RRCB83

RRCB 83

because my stamp set is from the 2016 Occasions catalog and it retired on May 30, 2017. I was sad. But I'm happy I can enter it in Seize the Birthday too!

The inside is a piece of Soft Sky cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". On a piece of retired Pistacchio Pudding cardstock cut at 3 5/8" x 5 3/8", I stamped a heart from Heart Happiness and the sentiment from the retired Stylized Birthday Wood Mount stamp. The ink I used was retired Certainly Celery (you could substitute Pear Pizzazz for both of those colors). I adhered that to the Soft Sky panel, which was adhered to the inside of the patterned paper.

I thank you for stopping by today and hope that you'll come back tomorrow for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop where we use all current SU products.

Below are photos of the two items I am selling at half price...$13.50 and $5 plus S/H only in the USA. If you wish to purchase any of my retired products, just leave me a comment with your email or contact me here

Stampin' Up! Springtime Foils

Although Sale-A-Bration is over for another year, I have not used my DSP all up yet so I had to make another card with the Springtime Foils. I am doing this card when I host our card group Thursday. The technique is Polished Stone. I explained this technique here.

My card base is Sweet Sugarplum, which will be retiring this year so if you want it, click on this link and it'll get you some! The mat is Dapper Denim and it is also retiring...you already know the drill...this link!

Now we go on to the next mat...the Springtime Foils. If you REALLY like this DSP, I can sell you mine. I have one unopened package. The other package has been cut like this...

The sticky note measurements are correct except for the 1/2" x 4"...it should be 1 1/2" x 4". Once I cut it, I put it in a Stampin' Up Full-wide Stamp Case. I also colored a larger piece with my Blends (temporarily unavailable...hopefully back end of May) and put that inside.

I used the Pretty Label Punch to punch out a piece of, forgive me, VERY retired Sale-A-Bration 2016 Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper! I adhered it to the DSP with dimensionals.

I stamped the Wood Words sentiment in Dapper Denim on a scrap of Very Vanilla. I used the 1 3/8" scallop punch to punch it out and sponged it with Dapper Denim. I adhered it to the (choke, cough, sputter, hanging head in shame) glimmer paper. For the bow, I didn't have Dapper Denim baker's twine so I used Whisper White Baker's Twine and dragged it through my Dapper Denim ink pad! Easy peasy and MESSY but oh so fun! I adhered it with a glue dot.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card even if some of the items are no longer available! Like I said, if you REALLY want them, you can get anything you want at Karen's Stampin' Up restaurant!

Stampin' Up! Sweet Little Something

This card is one that we will be doing when I host our stamp club Thursday. I hope the ladies will fall in love with the stamp set.

Is this not the cutest bunny evah? Our son had a blue one that looked just like this one...that is why I bought the stamp set. His was a wind up musical one and he loved all the fur away. His name was very original..."Bunny"! Every time I read the Velveteen rabbit to our son, I would cry. I cried when I had to throw him in the trash...the bunny, not our son...lol.

So, today, over at What Will You Stamp #WWYS162, I was delighted to see that they wanted us to use this stamp set.

If you have questions on how I made this, let me know. I'll be happy to answer them for you. Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Up! Hold on to Hope Horizontal Stretch

Happy Easter! My card today uses the Hold on to Hope Bundle. It is for our friend's birthday next week. She is a Godly woman, a Christian counselor and our Sunday School teacher. I love her for many reasons but especially because she saves all my cards!

I was inspired by Wendy Lee and I'm giving you a link to her instructions because I don't need to "reinvent the wheel". You can download her pdf here. Her's is called a vertical stretch card but in my case, I guess I've invented the horizontal stretch card! It's quite similar to a Z fold, but yet not!

I followed her instructions but decided to change mine to landscape;  when I did a mock up, my card couldn't stand up and I wanted it to do that. Another thing I did differently was spray the back of the cross with Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky spray and adhered it to the Vellum. I have adhesive sheets but for something this small and only one item, I didn't want to take the time. I also had to make my center sentiment smaller so it didn't show beyond the top panel when closed.

One thing is for sure, I need a staging area other than the kitchen counter! Our dining room and living room are surrounded by windows and I haven't found that area great for taking pictures. I'll speak to Santa about it :-) Maybe he'll buy me a new house...lol!

Unfortunately, this Designer Series Paper was one of the free ones from Sale-A-Bration, which ended yesterday. BUT, the stamp set and other products are still available. If you would like to order anything, just click on the pictures below. I'd love to be your demonstrator and help unleash your creativity! If you are interested in the DSP, I do have an unopened package!

If you have any questions, just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you. Thanks for stopping by and remember, "we are not without hope!"

Yay, it's Friday...a fun fold Friday at that! Here's what I created for today. My design came from Mystery Stamping night with Dani...
