Stampin' Up! Beautiful Butterflies Easter Card

Good Monday make over...at least that's what I'm considering this card. It may be a stretch but I did use the same Hybrid EF that I used for this card. When I cut the black butterfly for that card, there was residue left from the card stock. I have never had that happen before but I liked the look. Take a look see...

Stampin' Up! Faith Collection Easter Card

Welcome, peeps, to my Monday Morning Makeover! Today's card is a "make over" of this card. Instead of a sympathy card, it's an Easter card. Easter is 30 days away. Here's a consoling thought...Christmas has not reached double digits yet! But I digress!! Here's my card...

My card base is Mossy Meadow 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2". I cut a piece of Basic Beige 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered it to the base.

The Cane Weave embossed Lemon Lolly piece measures 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".

The Basic White arch is one that was in my stash. I stamped the cross and palm branches from the Faith Collection Stamp Set in Pecan Pie and Granny Apple Green, respectively. Then I sponged it with Lemon Lolly ink. "He is risen" is also from the Faith set and is stamped in Pecan Pie.

The gold embossed "Celebrate" is another piece I had in my stash. I am not doing good with my New Year's resolution to keep track of what supplies I used that are in my stash.

For the inside...

My Basic Beige mat is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2". The Lemon Lolly art panel is 3 3/8" x 4 3/8". The palm frond and sentiment are from the retired Easter Message Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our monthly SU Demos Fun Fold hop.

Stampin' Up! Chevron Easter Card

Good mid-week, peeps! My card today has been called a Chevron fold as well as a Zig Zag fold. No matter what you want to call it, I call it FUN!

My card base is  A2 Old Olive with an embossed mat of Lemon Lolly (Layered Florals 3D EF). The chevron is made with 5 pieces of Floral Delight DSP 1" x 2.5".

The "Easter Blessings" sentiment is from the retired Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set using Old Olive Ink.

For the inside...

The stamp set I used is the retired Easter Message and is stamped in Old Olive. I adhered a 1/4" strip of the same DSP that is on the front.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our weekly Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Floral Delight Easter Card

Happy mid-week, my stamping peeps! Since Easter is around the bend, I decided to create a card for one of our church shut ins. I think this will bring a smile to someone's face. I haven't finished the inside yet but the outside was done for the Double Trouble and TSOT challenges. (Update: I did finish the inside!) Let's take a look see and then I'll tell you about the challenges.

The Double Trouble challenge #185 is a little complicated and hopefully, I get it right! It's been awhile since I've played there. Here's the dealeo...

Thing 1: Trouble Maker

I used 3 embellishments: 3 Daffodil Party Spots

I have a number of layers on my cardbase (which is Lemon Lolly). You can't see it but the cut pieces are adhered using dimensionals to a 4 x 5 1/4" panel of Lemon Lolly. The DSP is from the Floral Delight package. To the end triangles, I adhered a strip of Lemon Lolly on the longer edges. I adhered the center triangle DSP with liquid glue.  The Old Olive "circle" is cut with a die from Stylish Shapes Dies and embossed with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The duck is from the Storybook Moments Specialty DSP/Ephemera and adhered with liquid glue. The sentiment is another two layers. The Olive Green mat is cut with a die from Happy Hibiscus and the Lemon Lolly piece is cut with my trimmer. The greeting is from the retired Easter Message stamp set, stamped in Old Olive .  Et voila, the Hoodie Hoo challenge is done!

Thing 2: Double Dare

I played with TSOT Challenge #664 for the design

I had intended to play with Thing 3 but I adhered the wrong sides to the face of the card. The undersides have spring flowers. Maybe they'll give me credit when they see the paper...lol!

                FLORAL DELIGHT 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER FLORAL DELIGHT 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

But just in case they don't, here's the inside of my card...

Easter lilies and sentiment from the retired Easter Message Stamp Set! So just in case this is acceptable, I'll play with Thing 3: Twisted Sister as well as the lilies are seasonal flowers, I think.

Stampin' Up! Easter Bunny for Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Hello my stamping friends! Welcome to our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew hop. Our theme for this month is "Celebrate Spring" and we can interpret that any way we want and use any product we wish. Here is what I created for it using the Easter Bunny Stamp Set for my image...

Let's take a closer look, shall we?

This card was supposed to be for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop last week but I didn't like the way it turned out. However, I didn't have time to make a "spring" card for today so I decided to use it even though it looks like my first attempt at a card...lol! I used to be a perfectionist but old age has remedied that!! The ingredients are listed below the "hoppers" in chart form.

Stampin' Up! Easter Bunny for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a color challenge today and here is what I created for our hop...

.

My design is based on
Can you see the resemblance? I sure hope Atlantic Hearts Design Team can! That was a very challenging sketch, Michelle!

My bunnies starting at 6 o'clock and going clockwise are Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Petal Pink, Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia. My sentiment is stamped and edged in Lemon Lolly. I punched it with the Banners Pick a Punch. The Bubble Bath bunny is on the inside :-)

I used the Easter Bunny Stamp Set and the Easter Bunny Punch (and some fussy cutting) to create the bunnies and the sentiment.

The score lines are horizontal and vertical but difficult to see in the photo but in real life they are quite visual.

The embellishments on the front are the Online Exclusives Petal Pink Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots and on the inside are Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. I hope you enjoy all the creativity. Thank you for stopping by!

Welcome to our Anything Goes With a Fun Fold Challenge.  Before I show you what I created, I want to let you know Creative Creases is celebrating our 3rd Anniversary. Congrats to Debbie Mageed, a/k/a Secret Stamper, on the success of her challenge.

To help us celebrate, Double Trouble is also asking you to play with us. Take a look see at their challenge, play at theirs and then play at ours. If you haven't played before, what are you waiting for? Join the fun! Here's my creation for our 3rd Anniversary...I think it might be 3D :-)

I'm playing with all three "Things". I wasn't quite sure how to photograph this card so I'm giving you a few views. It's made with the Easter Bunny Stamp Set and Easter Bunny Punch. The Designer Series Paper is Meandering Meadows. I was inspired by Queen B Creations and Lisa has an excellent video on the "how to" here.

Stampin' Up! Easter Bunny

Good Sunday morning, peeps. I had made this card for one of my blog hop challenges awhile back and forgot to post it. It was a color challenge and I used Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue and Old Olive.

I stamped a panel of Basic White with carrots from the Thanks a Bunch Stamp Set and ran it through my embossing machine with the Cane Weave 3D EF.

On a scrap piece of Basic White I stamped the bunny in Basic Gray and colored it in with Light and Dark Basic Gray Stampin' Blends. The eggs, butterfly and greeting are from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set as well. I can't remember what die I used to cut out the circle but I do remember I fussy cut the eggs and adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals!

For the inside...

I used an Olive Green Watercolor Pencil and Blender pen for the ground and used more stamps from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set. I also stippled the Basic White art panel to cut the brightness.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge 2307. I'll have another cute digital bunny for you. Have a blessed day.

Stampin' Up! Brushed Brass Butterflies on Quilled Cross

It's technique Tuesday morning! My card today is one that we made in our Thursday card group. Sue M. provided the materials from Hobby Lobby: Quilled Creations Combing Technique Quilling Kit and Quilling Paper. To create the cross, you can use a comb or a special quilling tool. I used my onion holder slicer that I got years ago in a kitchen shop.

I absolutely loved the patterned paper from Studio Paper (Faith Words) from Hobby Lobby. The Brushed Brass Butterfly made the perfect hiding spot of the pieces joining together. The card base is Basic White with a mat of Soft Suede cardstock.

Now, I just need to tell you that I no longer believe the adage "if you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it because you won't use it in another year." LIE!!!! I gave away all my quilling paper to Good Will!!! I wonder if it's still there? No, I'm not going to check. I will borrow from Sue...lol!

The inside is very simple but quite profound.

Thank you for stopping by today and wish me luck in creating more cards with the combing technique! I'll keep you posted!!

Stampin' Up Daffodil Daydream Easter Card

Welcome to my Monday Morning Makeover Madness. For this one, I changed the colors. You can view the original here (with credit to Ann Alexander). That is where you will find instructions and product used.

I had a wonderful time in Tennessee looking at a townhouse I had hoped would meet my needs. There were a few things I didn't like so I came home empty handed. It did have a bonus room for my card making. No view of the mountains or water, which is a must for me.

Speaking of card making, I have decided to cut back on creating them so I will only be posting on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

I'm entering my card at Global Design Project #GDP339

Thanks for following me and stopping by! See you Thursday!!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter my peeps!

"As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you'."

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Gallery Thinking of You Fun Fold Friday

Yay, it's Friday...a fun fold Friday at that! Here's what I created for today. My design came from Mystery Stamping night with Dani...
