Stampin' Up! Split Ohio Star Quilted Birthday Card

Good morning, peeps. Can you believe we are at July already?! I'm in a patriotic mode this month as well as a quilting mode. You will see...

and for the inside...

I followed a tutorial by Julie Heitz. She is fantastic at quilting with cards. The recipient is a quilter so I hope she enjoyed her card.

Sweet Sorbet Card Stock:

  • 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" , scored and folded at 4 1/4";
  • 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Nature's Sweetness DSP front panel: 4" x 5 1/4" ; stamp sentiment from Unbounded Love in Starry Sky ink and VersaMark ink; sprinkle with Clear Emboss Powder and heat set

Starry Sky Card Stock:  2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock:

  • 4" x 5 1/4" inner liner;
  • 2 1/4" x 2 1/4 (do not cut this!);
  • 3/4" x 3/4" (2) cut one in half diagonally and use one; cut the remaining square in half diagonally in both directions and you now have 4 quarter-square triangles

2022-2024 In Color DSP (Sweet Sorbet):

  • 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" cut in half diagonally and use one;
  • 3/4" x 3/4" (2) cut one in half diagonally and use one; cut the the remaining square diagonally in both directions...you now have 4 quarter-square triangles
  • 4" x 1/4" Starry Sky DSP for inside

It's best now if you watch Julie's video to see how she put the block together. It took me awhile but once you do one, it becomes easier. Stay tuned, you'll see!

The inside sentiment is stamped in Starry Sky (retired) using a stamp by Inkadinkadoo. I adhered a strip of the Starry Sky DSP to the bottom.

Thank you for stopping by today. If you have any questions, I am one comment away :-)
