Good Monday morning, peeps! I know Thanksgiving is around the bend, but so is Christmas. My card today is just that!! Take a look see...
My card base Basic White cardstock with mats of Basic Black and retired Mango Melody cardstock, then the art panel of Basic White.
I stamped the art panel with stamps from retired sets. The evergreen boughs are from Evergreen Elegance and the "Merry Christmas" is from Christmas Gleaming. They are stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Mango Melody, respectively. Both are retired inks. After I adhered all the panels together with liquid glue, I ran it through my embossing machine with the retired Subtle EF. Then I adhered the panel to the card base.
Next I cut thin strips of Mango Melody to hang the ornaments. The outer ornaments are stamped in Mango Melody with stamps from the retired Christmas Gleaming set. They are cut out with their retired matching punches. The center ornament is cut with a retired circle die, sponged with Mango Melody and decorated with a "T" for, well you know, the Vols! The letter came from the retired Little Letters Thinlits Dies. I fussy cut the gray part but I have no name for that piece. I do know I stamped it on a scrap of Basic Gray from the retired Making Every Day Bright.
As you can see, I keep most of my retired items because I love most of them and I hate "seller's remorse"!
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return for our Stampin' Up! Demos Fun Fold blog hop tomorrow.
