Stampin' Up! In the Moment Happy New Year Card

Good Tuesday morning! 10 more days until we say good bye to 2021! Can you believe it? I am certainly looking forward to 2022 and I hope you are too. My card will help get you started...

My card base is Thick Basic White cardstock. I adhered a mat of Granny Green Apple cardstock but before I did, I ran it through my embossing/cutting machine with a die from the Layering Circles Dies. You'll see that in use on the inside.

Next I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and created the fireworks with a white gel pen and different colored Stampin' Blends. Tina Wardell has a great video showing how to create the fireworks. I don't think I did too badly for my first try. She also inspired me to use the wine-drinking woman from the In the Moment Stamp Set. I spent a lot of time getting her ready to be adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used my Stampin' Blends to color her hat, hair, skin, wine glass, railing and even her dress. I paper pieced the dress using a pattern from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration Sunshine & Rainbows. However, it didn't look right so I colored over it with Light and Dark Misty Moonlight Blends and added fireworks to her dress!

I cut the "Happy New Year" from the Word Wishes die set. The die actually cuts out "Years" but that just seemed incorrect to me so I cut off the "s". I finally broke into my Rainbow Glimmer Paper! Using my white gel pen, I wrote in "2022".

For the inside, you can see how I used the Granny Apple Green mat with my scalloped Layering Dies circle. 

I had the martini in my stash so I just stamped a glass of white wine on a scrap of Basic White and cut it out with the Sip and Celebrate dies. The two glasses and "Sip Sip Hooray!" are from the Sip Sip Hooray stamp set as is the "I'll drink to that!" That coordinating set is retired but I will never give it up! The Granny Apple Green sentiment is from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set.
