Stampin' Up! Heart & Home Project for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a theme challenge. Here is what I created for it...

and here is our theme...

My idea came from Debbie Mageed who got her idea from a tutorial at Splitcoaststampers. It's called a Building Block Card.

The card folds flat for mailing purposes but I made this one for myself with the calendar Debbie sent me.

My card base is Cinnamon Cider cardstock, the mats are Pale Papaya cardstock and the Designer Series Paper is a pattern from Heart & Home (available January 4, 2022).

I cut the numbers out with the Playful Alphabet Dies (2 of each). I glued two together to make them raised as I didn't want to use Dimensionals or adhesive foam strips. I adhered them to the pop outs with liquid glue. I adhered a Bumblebee Trinket to the front with a glue dot. The calendar is adhered with Tear & Tape.

This is very easy to assemble once you get everything cut. Laura Lipe does an excellent job explaining how to cut the pop out part but I have also listed measurements and instructions at the end of my post.

I'm entering my card at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December 2021 Challenge,  Creative Creases Anything Goes with a Fun Fold #22, Tuesday Morning Sketches Annual ATG Challenge and Marsha's Special 3-Week Watercooler Wednesday WWC331 ATG Challenge.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us!

Measurements and Instructions:

Card Base: 5 1/2" x 10", score @ 3 1/2" and 7"; first score is a mountain fold and second is a valley so that it makes a Z card

Close the valley fold and on the back of the valley fold, mark with a pencil at the following points:

3/8"
1 3/8"
1 5/8"
2 5/8"
2 7/8"
3 7/8"
4 1/8"
5 1/8"

At those marks cut in 1 1/2" along the fold.

Score at the end of the cuts on the 1” slits so these can fold up with mountain folds. Leave the ¼” slits as valley folds.

Front panel mat: 3 3/8" x 5 3/8"; DSP: 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Mats for panels on either side of blocks: 1 7/8" x 5 3/8" (2); DSP 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" (2)
Mats for block panels: 7/8" x 1 3/8" (8); DSP 3/4" x 1 1/4" (8)
