Stampin' Up! Best Year Birthday Card

TGIF, peeps! I was inspired by Beth McCullough for creating my card today. She made an accordion fold card Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and I followed suit for the Festive Friday Challenge FF0093.

I picked 4 from the Inspo List: Balloons, Clouds, Sun and Stripes.

I chose a pattern from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper and cut it to a 12" x 5 1/2" piece. I scored it at 1 3/4", 4 3/4", and 7 3/4". Then you just fold it like an accordion...like so...

For the front, I fussy cut a fox from the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper (only available until 9/30 with a $50 purchase before s/h during Sale-A-Bration). I adhered it to a Basic Black circle with a "Wobble" (available from Amazon). The circle and scalloped Basic White mat were cut with the Layering Circles Dies.

The hardest part was deciding how I wanted to decorate it, which is where Festive Friday came in. I had critters in a bowl from when I cut a bunch out of the Penguin Playmates DSP for an earlier card so I decided to use them. Why yes, the punched out penguin (Penguin Builder Punch) would be perfect for holding the balloons! The fussy cut bear would be so happy to be sitting on an iceberg under the sun with not too many clouds to get in the way of warming him.

I cut 2 pieces of Basic Black 2 3/4" x 5". I used my Basic Borders Die to cut the snow banks out of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the sentiments from the Best Year Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The panel with the polar bear has the sun and a cloud cut out with the Sheep Dies (another free item with Sale-A-Bration). The balloons the penguin is holding are cut from the same die set and the Pattern Party DSP. I adhered the penguin and balloons with Stampin' Dimensionals. Everything else is adhered with liquid glue.

This was such a fun card to make. I'd like to enter it in Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper September 2021 Challenge and Creative Creases #14 as well.

Thank you for stopping by today. I always appreciate your comments and would love it if you would hit the "follow" button if you haven't already. I'm still working toward my goal of 100 by the end of the year or sooner. Have a great weekend.
