I am featuring Pansy Patch Stamp Set, Pansy Dies and Pansy Petals DSP on my card today.
You can see that the DSP uses all five colors even though we only had to pick three. I guess I'm an over achiever...lol.
My design was inspired by Sharon Armstrong's Mystery Card from May 3, 2021. Measurements are listed below.
My card base is Basic White. I cut another piece of Basic White on which I adhered a piece of the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper with a Soft Succulent card stock strip. I dry embossed the white side with one of the EF's from Meadow Moments. I had already stamped the sentiment from Pansy Petals in Polished Pink. I die cut two Soft Succulent leaves and one Evening Evergreen leaf. I adhered them to the embossed/DSP mat with liquid glue. Then I used a Pansy die to cut the Polished Pink Pansy (say that 5 times fast!) from the DSP and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Then I adhered that panel to a piece of Evening Evergreen card stock and that to the card base. I polished it off with three Polished Pink (see what I did there!) 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
On to the inside...plain and simple...
...another sentiment from Pansy Patch stamped in Evening Evergreen and a strip of Pansy Petals DSP.
I'm entering my card at Watercooler Wednesday, Marcia's All Things Feminine WWC315.
The Flower Challenge: #56 Use Your Favorite Flower. When I lived in the Adirondacks, I always had pansies and Johnny Jump Ups in my flower beds. I miss them (yes, the flowers AND the Adirondacks!)
and how many of you remember the song from Alice in Wonderland Flowers All in the Golden Afternoon? Listen to it if you want to refresh your memory of the oh-so-cute and cheerful song. It's been years since I've seen that 1951 film!!
Hope the DT at Try it on Tuesday like the song and the pansies in the video that inspired me!
