Stampin' Up! Poinsettia Petals for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a color challenge.

I've chosen all of the colors to create my card.

I used the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set and the Zany Zebras Stamp Set for the image and sentiment, respectively. Both are stamped in Real Red Ink on Whisper White cardstock. I sponged the edge of the sentiment with Garden Green Ink. I punched it out with the Label Me Fancy Punch and adhered it to the Plaid Tidings mat, which has Cherry Cobbler in it. My card base is Shaded Spruce. I die cut the poinsettia with the matching Poinsettia Dies.

I used the same dies to cut out three Shaded Spruce cardstock berry sprigs and Garden Green cardstock for the two leaves. The dies emboss and cut...a welcome feature! I adhered them to the plaid mat with liquid glue. I adhered the poinsettia with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped a berry sprig on the front of the envelope.

For the inside...

I stamped the sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set in Garden Green. I adhered a strip of Plaid Tidings DSP to the bottom and adhered another strip to the envelope flap. I punched two of the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll have time to hop.

    1. Julie, like we always say, "Sisters from a different mother!" It was funny how we both picked the same DSP and the poinsettia, but totally different cards.
