Stampin' Up! Masculine Encouragement Card

Because of traveling from NC back to FL, neither I nor my friends did a Mystery Monday card for today. So, I thought I'd treat you to a Masculine Monday and a Monday Morning Makeover card. I made a card with the Freshly Made Sketches Design #459 back in October and it looked like this...

Turning it into a masculine card looks like this...

I used the Forever Fern Stamp Set for my sentiment and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Smoky Slate Card Stock. Then I ran it through my embossing machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D EF. I adhered that to a Basic Black card base.

Next I used my Stitched Triangles Dies to cut two pieces of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and adhered them with liquid glue. I added three silver metallic pearls. Card front done, easy peasy!

I'm entering my card in Pixie's Snippets Playground Challenge 390. I really want to win the prize she has because it's a bunny stamp, a/k/a hare! I love it. If you haven't checked out her blog, you're missing out on a lot of fun! I'm also playing at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper November 2020 and Just Us Girls #561 Word Week - Triangles.

On to the simple and easy inside Smoky Gray panel...

I stamped the sentiment from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I used the fern from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set  and stamped it in Basic Gray. My ink spot needs reinking but it worked out perfectly so I didn't have to stamp off once.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and now I'd like to show you some cards I received for my birthday, which is today! I know there are more on the way so I'll show you those tomorrow.

Thank you for making my day even more special with your beautiful cards.

If my readers would like to give me a birthday present, just click the "follow" button and I'll be ecstatic and come back tomorrow for our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop! Have a wonderful and blessed day, peeps.

  3. Hi Karen! Happy Birthday lovely lady!

I love those masculine encouragement cards. As always, guy cards are not my forte so I love the idea of these.

Take care and have an awesome day :)

  8. Belated Happy Birthday Karen. I really like your snippets card - very masculine and a great design as well. Sheesh, I didn't know they do stitched triangle dies now - sits on hands! I don't know if you've spotted that the snippets challenge is running for an extra week and I'm allowing TWO entries. Basically I hurt my shoulder and have had to leave crafting alone so couldn't make my planned snippets sample card. You might want to have another entry as you love the hare stamps so much. If you don't win then I'd happily buy and send you a set as a RAK/gift. I don't think they're sold in the USA and of course postage from a supplier direct to you would be sky high. That always annoys me as I'm sure they rip us off.

    1. Thank you so much, Di. I hadn't noticed a second entry so I'll do that Monday with my snippets. I'll take my chance on the luck of the draw, but your offer is one that I might not be able to refuse :-)

  9. I commented about the hare stamps and think I said they're made by Inkylicious who are UK based and don't supply overseas stockists. They're actually made by Lavinia who don't supply overseas stockists to my knowledge. Their postage is £8 (sterling) to the USA - as I said, a rip off! xx
