Stampin' Up! Pampered Pets Birthday Card

Today is my sister-law's birthday. This is a virtual card I created for her because I didn't get a snail mail card out in time. As she likes cats, I'm hoping she likes this! Happy birthday, Marcia!

My card is inspired by the challenge at Festive Friday #0069 and the Pampered Pets Stamp Set that UPS delivered yesterday is purrfect for my creation!

I chose to use a cat, a mouse, fish, and embossing. Take a look see...

I used a card cut that I have in the past as it is quick and easy...plus I love it! I can't thank Sharon Armstrong and Susan Mack enough for introducing me to this fold!

I created a flat base by cutting Basic Black Card Stock at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Then I cut a piece of Basic Black Card Stock at 3" x 8 1/2", scored, folded and burnished it at 4 1/4".

Next I cut two pieces (2" x 4 1/4") of Playful Pets Designer Series Paper (on sale now for $9.78!) and adhered one to each side of my card base with liquid glue.

Then I cut two pieces of Whisper White Card Stock at 2 3/4" x 4". For the front panel, I stamped everything from the Pampered Pets Stamp Set. Using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, I ran it through my embossing machine and adhered it to the front flap of the folded card stock.

I used the second piece of Whisper White to stamp a sentiment from the Many Mates Stamp Set and the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set and at the bottom, I used more stamps from the Pampered Pets. I adhered it to the inside of the folded flap. Then I adhered the folded piece to the card base.

Because this is the first time I have used this set and the DSP that matches, I'm entering my card at NBUS (Never-Before-Used Schtuff #19. Of course, I must also enter 2 Crafty Critter Crazies #43 ATG

I decorated my envelope flap with another piece of DSP ( 6" x 2 1/4"), adhered it with liquid glue and trimmed it. I stamped the front with the heart stamp from Pampered Pets.

This was such a fun card to create for my brother-in-law's wife and the challenges. I hope you enjoyed it too! Oh, and remember 10/29/20 is National Cat Day. I think if you were to ask a cat, it would say the whole month should be dedicated to cats and maybe even the entire year! They can have 2020 for all I care...they don't have to wear a mask...lol. See you tomorrow!
