Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Get Well Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge. I can't wait to see what the other team members created. Hop along with us at the bottom of my post.

I turned the sketch on its side and here is what I created...

I used the Boho Indigo Product Medley and Healing Hugs Stamp Set to create my card. I'm entering it in the Monochrome challenge at Stinkin' Inkers. Also, with my little snippet flowers, I'm playing at Pixie's Snippets Playground #384 and "yes" I would love to win the prizes!

My card base is Very Vanilla, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". I cut a piece of Very Vanilla, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and ran it through my embossing machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D EF. But when I put the paper in an took it out, I realized I had embossed the entire card base and not the mat! It looked okay but I carried through with the mat and adhered it to the card front after I had stamped it with the sentiment from Boho Indigo. So two important reminders, stamp first and make sure what you're running through the machine...lol.

I adhered a piece of the patterned paper from the Medley (2 1/2" x 3 3/4") with liquid glue. From a different pattern, I cut the vase with a die from the Medley and adhered it with Mini Dimensionals. The leaf sprigs are Soft Sea Foam, cut with another die from the set and adhered with liquid glue. The blue flowers are stamped in Misty Moonlight, first and second generation and cut out with more dies from the Medley. The "paper whites" are embellishments from the set. I have never used these before so I'm entering my card in the NBUS #17 Challenge. All the flowers are adhered with glue dots. This product medley is da bomb!

The linen thread bow was an afterthought. I was able to run it under the vase by threading it with one of those blue dental floss thingies for bridge work.

On to the inside...

Well, of course, you know why there is a leaf embellishment, don't you? Why, yes, Misty Moonlight is one of those ink pads that are very juicy!

I cut a frame from the patterned paper with the Ornate Layers dies. I didn't use the inside piece that resulted. Rather, I stamped a piece of Birch Resume Paper that I had from Office Max, with the sentiment from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set. The leaf sprig is from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set, stamped off once with Just Jade ink. Then I cut the frame again and inlaid it with liquid glue. Et voila, fini!
