Stampin' Up! Many Mates Forever Fern Birthday Card

TGIF! Hope you have some great plans for the weekend even though you still might be hunkering down. I hope to be making cards and making a great dinner for my son. He has no children except for Chester! Chester decided he would eat my Grape Nuts and milk for HIS breakfast instead of me eating it! My son caught him from the kitchen as I had gone out to get a glass of oj!

I used the Forever Fern and Many Mates Stamp Sets for sentiments on my card today.

I adhered a piece of Honey Bee Designer Series (retired) to the front of my Thick Whisper White card base. I adhered pieces of the DSP to Gold Foil mats and adhered them to the card front.

For the Whisper White Card Stock banner, I used VersaMark ink to stamp the sentiment from  Forever Fern. I heat embossed it with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder. I adhered it over the two banners and added one of the Gilded Gems. I added two more to the card front.

I kept the inside plain and simple with two stamps from Many Mates. The bee is from the retired Honey Bee Stamp Set. I colored the stripes with a Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil.

My inspiration came from Alicia, a/k/a Crafty Al. I love her SheetLoad of Cards videos. I only made one but could have made six at the same time with her instructions. In order to print them, you have to subscribe to her YouTube channel. It doesn't cost anything! You'll be glad you did as she provides the templates and detailed measurements. She also shows how she makes them. I am a BIG fan!

I'm entering my card in the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies: Challenge #39.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll look up Call Me Crafty Al...tell her karenscardkorner sent you!

  3. Very pretty, Karen! I loved that paper! :) You know - the obvious answer is to just make a bowl of Grape Nuts for Chester, too! Y'all can sit in that comfy chair together and eat your breakfast looking at the pond! :)
