Stampin' Up! Tropical Oasis Masculine Birthday Card for Amy's Inkin' Krew Monthly Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop. We’ve got a  "for the boys/men" theme today. I hope you’ll be able to spend some time reading and hopping through all the other talented team member projects today...once you've read mine, of course!!

I used the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set and retiring Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper to create my card today. I am sooooo sad to see that paper retire, along with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The Braided Burlap Trim is also retiring so if you want any of these items, hop on it!

My inspiration came from France Martin, a/k/a Frenchie. I'm entering my card in Double Trouble Paper Crafting: Birthday Blow-Out #56 playing with Thing 1: Trouble Maker and with Thing 2 Double Dare by entering the Tic Tac Toe Challenge at Joy of Sets. I did the top row across.
My card base is Early Espresso. I adhered a mat of Balmy Blue card stock and then added the embossed Crumb Cake panel. I wrapped a piece of Burlap Trim across it, secured it with tape on the back and adhered it with liquid glue to the mat.

I cut out a rectangle in Balmy Blue and a rectangle from the Tropical Oasis DSP using the Stitched So Sweetly Die Set. I used lots of Dimensionals adhering them!

The sentiment from Timeless Tropical is stamped in Early Espresso Ink, punched with the Everyday Label Punch and adhered with Dimensionals and liquid glue.

For the inside, I used more stamps from Timeless Tropical and sent it on its merry way. The recipient actually called me to let me know he received it and it brightened his 80th birthday as his dinner party had to be canceled due to the pandemic.

  2. This is one cool card! Love your layers and that old station wagon. Makes me want to get in the car and GO somewhere! Ain't happenin' these days, unless I go birding by myself, and I might just do that....after I mow the lawn. :-)
