Stampin' Up! Garden Lane Quilted Card for Amy's Inkin' Krew Monthly Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop. We’ve got a "for the girls/ladies" theme today. I hope you’ll be able to spend some time reading and hopping through all the other talented team member projects today.

The technique for this design is from one of Lisa Curcio's videos on You Tube. There are others who have done it too so I don't know whose original idea it was.

All product used is Stampin' Up! except where otherwise indicated (inside sentiment). Because I'm free to Mix "Em Up, I am playing at Little Red Wagon Challenge #544.

Retro Rubber Challenge 132 Be There or Be Square, this one's for you along with Just Add Ink #500 - Add a Die Cut Word! I added two so I hope that doesn't disqualify me! Happy 500th challenge, by the way.

I used Pear Pizzazz Card Stock for my base, a 1 1/4" square punch, Garden Lane DSP and a Whisper White mat. Once all the squares were adhered and edges cut, I ran the mat through my embossing machine using the Tin Tile 3D EF.

The "love" is from the current Well Written Dies and the "YOU" is from the retired Celebrate You Thinlits Dies. I double cut and double layered them using Pear Pizzazz Card Stock and some retired DSP.

I got the bright idea to make the quilted look even more realistic by adding knots made with the Mint Macaron Nature's Twine. I have no idea how this will go through the mail so it just might be a hand delivery. It's a pretty neat embellishment and I hope the DT thinks so at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge: Create Your Own Embellishment.

Double Trouble Paper Crafting always has a fun challenge. #54 is "It's Hip to Be a Square so I'm playing with Thing 1: Trouble Maker, Thing 3: Twisted Sister, and Thing 2: Double Dare. By playing along with Thing 2, I'm also playing at the Stinkin' Inkers Challenge: Crafter's Choice for the third time this month and that's the limit for their challenge.

The inside sentiment is one from Unity Stamps, released in 2016 and still available (Include Yourself in Beauty).

I used another strip of Garden Lane DSP. That DSP is now depleted.  I'm debating if I should order more. I wish it would carry over in the upcoming June catalog! Garden is a word that I can use at Time Out Challenge #159 "Inspired by Words".
