Stampin' Up! Harvest Hellos Friendship Card

Happy Sunday, peeps! Hope all is going swell for you this weekend, which is almost over.

My card today uses the pumpkin stamp from Harvest Hellos. I knew I wanted to use that stamp set because it was on my desk! I saw four challenges this morning where I wanted to play:

Sketch inspiration from Sketch Saturday #580

Color inspiration from Sunday Stamps 213 Autumn Whisper

Theme inspiration from Creative With Stamps #42: Autumn

and my choice of stamp set for The Library Challenge #41

The book I chose for my inspiration was The Pumpkin Patch Parable for children by Liz Curtis Higgs. Here's the cover...

I have read many books by Liz and I haven't been disappointed. My favorite series was Bad Girls of the Bible. I am thinking about trying one of her Scottish historical novel series. Have you read any of her books?

Oh, but this post is about cards, not books...lol! Here's my card...

My card base is Pumpkin Pie with a mat of Crumb Cake.

Stampin' Up! has a new product called Mercury Glass Acetate. I stamped the pumpkin on it with VersaMark Ink. I sprinkled it with Copper Emboss Powder and set it with my heat tool. I punched it out with the Apple Builder Punch and also punched out one in Pumpkin Pie. I adhered them together with glue dots.

I placed the punched pumpkin on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and marked spots so I would know where to stamp the leaf and vine as well as the sentiment, which is stamped in Early Espresso. The leaf is colored in with a Light Old Olive Blend. I went over the edges of the leaf and the veins with my Shaded Spruce Stampin' Write Marker. The vine is stamped in Shaded Spruce. Then I ran the  piece through my Big Shot with the new Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder.

I took a piece of ribbon that comes in the Magnolia Lane combo pack, folded it in half and secured it to itself with a glue dot. Then I adhered it with a Dimensional to the back of the pumpkin along with additional Dimensionals to give the pumpkin a lift. I trimmed the ends of the ribbon at a diagonal. The stem is part of the punch and I colored it with my Bronze Blend and adhered it with liquid glue.

The three Rhinestone Basic Jewels added the finishing touch after I colored them with my Bronze Blend.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thanks for stopping by.
