Stampin' Up! Serene Silhouettes

Here's the second card I made at Sue M.'s on Thursday. The Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set is retired, but we all still enjoy giving it some ink and love! The sentiments are not SU but they are great!

The card base is Whisper White, with a mat of Crumb Cake, a mat of Marina Mist (retired), and a mat of Whisper White. Measurements are listed below.

This is really a neat technique and this stamp lends itself well to creating it. Using a square stamping block, ink the top of it in Marina Mist and the bottom with Crumb Cake, direct ink pad to block method. Spritz it with water and stamp it on the Whisper White mat and let it dry. Stamp the flowery/grassy image like in the photo and then cut out the square using a Stitched Shape square that is smaller than the block you used. Adhere all the mats to the card front with liquid glue. Then adhere the die cut square with Dimensionals. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink.

Stamp a sentiment of your choice on a piece  of Crumb Cake. I used Early Espresso ink for mine. This stamp goes with the sentiment inside. As a matter of fact, it is one stamp, which you can find here.

I am playing today at Simply Create Too Challenge #152 ATG
