Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane CAS Card for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

It's a sketch challenge today, peeps, and here is what I created for it using the Daisy Lane Stamp Set and coordinating punch.

The card base is Thick Very Vanilla card stock. Because I wanted to wrap my ribbon around without it being seen inside the card, I used a mat of Very Vanilla card stock that measured 4" x 5 1/4" and was already cut. The card base was in my stash as well.

I used the Daisy Lane Stamp Set to stamp the smaller daisy in that set twice in Highland Heather on a scrap of Very Vanilla. It has a coordinating punch and I must give credit to my son who punched them out for me. He also punched the Mint Macaron leaves for me with the Leaf Punch. I have a herniated disk in the thoracic area of my spine so I am limited as to what I can do in card making and housework! If you follow me, you know I rarely do CAS cards! But this was necessary and the sketch just fit right in. See what I mean...

So, I cut a piece of Purple Posy Scalloped Linen Ribbon and adhered it to the mat with glue dots. I had a piece of Purple Posy Scripty DSP from the 2019-2021 In Color pack that measured 4" x 1 3/4" and adhered that over top of the ribbon. Then I stuck the daisy to the mat with a glue dot. I put liquid glue on the leaves and stuck them under the daisy. I adhered a medium sized Gold Faceted Dot to the center.

The mat is adhered to the card base with dimensionals...nine to be exact! I chose not to do any sentiment and the inside is blank as I don't know how I'm going to use this card.

CAS...Clean and Simple...that's a wrap for me! I am, however, going to take time to play at Addicted to Stamps and More #354.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to that team member.

  1. CAS and pretty--my kind of card, though the CAS part is unusual for you! Hope you feel better soon. Will you need surgery?

    1. Thank you, Susan. I'm hoping Jesus and the chiropractor will heal me. I will probably go for an MRI next week to see exactly what damage I did. This is not my usual back problems but I dislike going to doctors.
