Stampin' Up! Geared Up Garage for M & M

One of my teammates, Kristi Gray, does a Monday blog where she creates a card that is an alternate to the one she posted on our Thursday blog hop the week before. Another teammate, Paula Vincent, gave us a challenge on our team page to CASE our upline, Mary Deatherage. These two combined gave me an idea ... thus "Makeover Mary" is born! OR it could turn into "Makeover Monday" where I CASE any of my teammates' cards. Whatcha think? (By the way, the M & M commercial last night was one of my favorites and my favorite candy...I have hips to prove it!)

Do you see how I "C"opied "A"nd "S"hared "E"verything? ... well, it is similar, don't you think?

I used the Geared Up Garage Bundle (save 10% when you purchase as a bundle) that is found in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

My card base is Night of Navy that I embossed with the Subtle TIEF. My DSP is from the 2018-2020 In Color Paper Stack. The gears are die cut from retired Galvanized Metal paper, but you could use Smoky Slate card stock.

The inside is plain and simple...

I stamped the image of the car (which I believe is a Mustang) on a piece of retired Marina Mist (also used for the DSP's mat on the front). I used retired Marina Mist ink for all my stamping. Some was first generation and some was second generation. I sponged the Whisper White panel as I felt it was too stark.

My father passed away 53 years ago and my father-in-law passed away 22 years ago. I still miss them so much. They were the best Dads! I am hoping this card will become a "sold" one for a best Dad who loves cars!

Mary's cards are always wonderful and she creates a lot of collages...something I have to learn to do.
