Stampin' Up! Buffalo Check and Beautiful Promenade for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Thursday with the Krew. Amy has another color challenge for her team members. Here it is...

Image may contain: text

and here is what I created for it...

Mary Deatherage, my very creative friend and upline, did a video on how to create your own plaid background. I won't explain how to do it, I'll let her do that here. I used Old Olive for the Buffalo Check and drew my lines with Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Markers. Unfortunately, SU hasn't come out with those colors in the Blends...yet!  Because I used markers to "Make My Mark", I am playing at Addicted to Stamps and More! #312

I adhered that to a mat of Blackberry Bliss, mounted on a Whisper White card base.

I used the wonderful filigree die cut from the Beautiful Layers Thinlits for underneath my flower from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set. The die cut is Blackberry Bliss and the flower is a double stamp in Cajun Craze. I cut it out with another die from the Beautiful Layers. This set can be purchased in my online store as a bundle at a 10% discount. (See product list below.)

The filigree is attached to the DIY plaid background with dimensionals. The flower is adhered with liquid glue. The Olive Green leaf is cut with another die from the Thinlits set. I adhered three Basic Pearl Jewels for the center. Over at Shopping Our Stash they have a challenge for using pearls so I have entered my card there as well.

I haven't decided if I'm going to add a sentiment or just have this as a note card so there is no sentiment...yet! If I do add one, where would you suggest I put it? I have left the inside blank as well.

If you would like measurements or further info, just leave a comment and I'll respond asap.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll take a moment to visit the other blogs by clicking on the names listed below OR if you want to be transported immediately to the fantastic Julie Johnston, just click on the "Next" button.
