Stampin' Up! Tropical Chic

My card tonight is a total CASE of Dawn Griffith. I will give you the link as there is no sense in reinventing the wheel. Thank you, Dawn, for such a great video.

I made this card for the triage nurse who has helped Perry get over hurdles within our oncologist's office, so many port replacements, so many infections and the run around with the VA. She has given us moral support and helped with paper work. We love her to pieces. She will be going to the Food & Wine Festival in a few weeks so we will be enclosing a gift card for that occasion.

For the inside, I used the Detailed Trio punch and a sentiment from Detailed with Love.

The product list follows and if you purchase the bundles, you will save 10%, rather than buying the stamp set and dies separately.

Thank you for stopping by.

Stampin' Up! Love You to Pieces

Today is our last day at Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival. We have had a wonderful time and Perry has done better than expected. Monday he starts a new medicine, which we are hoping is a miracle for him. Whatever the Lord wills, will be.

So, as you have seen, I love my husband to pieces and have for 49 years. Now we begin our journey to 50! Speaking of love and pieces, Stampin' Up! has a stamp set called "Love You to Pieces". Meg put this card kit together for us a week ago yesterday and all we had to do was adhere the die cut pieces and stamp the sentiments. How easy is that?

For some reason, even though the colors don't match the inspiration photo, I think the layout on the front does. What do you think Inkspirational #170?
I have no idea what the colors are, but I know the ribbon is Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon. I can only guess that the cardstock is Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, which are current purples, but it could be the retired Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum. No matter, I love purple so who cares! The outside sentiment is from the Love You to Pieces but I am not sure about the inside sentiment.

I am also playing at a new challenge for me Do Allkreatives - Bingo

I went from the upper left diagonally to the lower right. I had to translate the page but I think I've done everything correctly.

This was a CASE of Ruth Norton's card, I believe, and Meg put a great spin on it.

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll see you tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Timeless Tidings Waterfront

Know what today is? It's my 49th wedding anniversary with Perry! BUT it's also the

I didn't think I was going to be able to play but then I looked at the supplies I brought with me and saw that I had current ones which I could use for our sketch challenge today...woo hoo. Here's the sketch...
Image may contain: text
and because it's Anything Goes at Addicted to Stamps and More #311....here's my card...

Got a minute so I can tell you how I made it? Good! I started with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock. Adhered a piece of cardstock from the Timeless Tidings Project kit. I cut a piece of Whisper White and used my Stamparatus to stamp 4 images along with the sentiment from Waterfront. My palm tree tops are Mossy Meadow, trunks are Early Espresso, the water is Pacific Point stamped off once, the sand is Soft Suede stamped off once, and the sentiment is Soft Suede full strength. I then adhered that to the base and mat. So that the top was not so plain, I made a Billie Moan/Mary Deatherage bow out of linen thread...and then a regular bow out of Mossy Meadow cotton twine from the Festive Farmhouse set.  I struggle so with the linen bow no matter how many times I watch Mary's video! I added one of the biggest pearl from the Basic Pearl Jewels.

For the inside on the bottom, I adhered a scrap left over from the mat. I used another stamp from the Waterfront set for the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink.

See, I told you it would only take a minute. Now, I hope you can take a few minutes to hop through the rest of the cards that were made using this sketch. Clicking on the next button will take you to the ever-so-talented Julie Johnston. Clicking on any name below will take you to another talented team member.

Stampin' Up! Cross-Stitched Christmas

My card today is a CASE of the Holiday Catalog. Meg put this card kit together for us and we ony had to stamp, heat emboss and put it together. I have also decided to enter it in the challenges at The Holly and Ivy Christmas #37TSOT #380

(I hope this fits at TSOT...I just thought it did somehow!) and Watercooler Wednesdays #189

The card base is Whisper White with a mat of Under the Mistletoe DSP. The banner is from the same DSP. The stamps are from the new Cross-Stitched Christmas set found in the Holiday Catalog. We used Old Olive, Real Red and Shaded Spruce for the tree, along with Red Rhinestones. The "Joy" was embossed with White Emboss Powder. There is also a piece of the new burlap ribbon, flagged at each end.

The inside is very plain and simple.

If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them as soon as I can. We are still having fun at the Food and Wine Festival. As a matter of fact, I have to run now because we have "fast passes" at Epcot for 9:45 am. I have to walk and my husband has to "scoot".

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Hop.

Stampin' Up! Animal Outing

Did you know Stampin' Up! has a bundle called Animal Outing?

Animal Outing Clear-Mount Bundle

Well, yes, they do...as you can see above. If you order the stamps and dies as a bundle, you get 10% off. If you become a demonstrator, you get an additional 20% off. If you're interested, let me know. If you aren't, then keep on reading anyway! I own this set...

...but it's home and I'm in Disney, remember? So, let me take you on the animal outing for us today. Every time we do the safari at Animal Kingdom, it's never the same. I'm going to start with the end of our safari as we spent 15 minutes in one location and here's why...

These guys were part way in the road and our guide could not go past them until they moved. She called for back up assistance and another rhino showed up...lol.
You called for assistance?
But in this next photo, you can see the actual assistance...

See that truck up ahead? It arrived with 3 bales of hay and boy did those hippos move as soon as they heard and saw it. Proved Pablov's theory for sure!

Here are some of animals we saw on our safari...bongos, hippos, a baby elephant, a baby giraffe, two lions sleeping on the rocks. We also saw alligators, zebras, ostrich, ankole cattle, springboks, wildebeasts, warthogs, wild dogs (they were huge!), mandrills, black rhinos, white rhinos, and others I can't remember. It was the best safari ever!

Mama and Papa Giraffes

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps...
I love a parade!

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully tomorrow I'll be back with a card. I brought some supplies, but haven't started creating anything yet.
