Stampin' Up! Lots of Happy Card Kit

My card for today was colored and stamped while we were staying with our friend, Patti. I never did anything with the flowered panel but today I saw challenges at:

I used the card base from the card kit which is a hexagon shape. I used the alcohol blends to color the flowers and leaves: Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. The purple sentiment was from Hampton Arts and the stamp was from Liz' stash. The bow is Cherry Cobbler and will be available 9/5/18. It's the Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine.

This will be my next-to-last card made in NYS as we fly back to Tampa early Sunday morning. It's been a wonderful trip and I have more pics to share with you (actually it's a record for myself!).

Our granddaughter's art work on my to-go box. See the carrot and celery tending the chickens! LOL...her boyfriend thought of that idea. I don't think I will be able to part with this styrofoam top!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope I haven't bored you! See ya tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Animal Expedition for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome, again, to the Thursday hop. I'm still in upstate NY and I made my card before we left in July. Technology is wonderful as long as you can get on the internet!

Our challenge this week is the following sketch...

No automatic alt text available.

and here is how I interpreted it...

My card base is Shaded Spruce and the front is a piece of designer series paper from Animal Expedition. Aren't the little critters so cute? The big ones are too! I adhered a piece of DSP from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty paper to the edge of the mat.

My sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce. I used a stamp from Peaceful Place and cut it out with a die from Petals and More. I adhered it three dimensionals. I think my card also follows the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch #286

In a few days we will be heading back to Florida but before I take off, let's hop together. Clicking on "next" will take you to the delightful Julie Johnston. In case you get lost along the way, you can click on an individual's name to get to another hopper.

Karen Finkle - you are here!

Stampin' Up! Timeless Tidings Project Kit

It's back! I was not up to making a card that involved too much effort as we are expecting family at our hotel room for lunch. So, out came a card from the project kit to the rescue again. I will enter the card at Watercooler Wednesday because it's an "anything goes" challenge today.

Again, this kit will be available to customers on September 5. You know you want it! I can help you order...just let me know.

Want to see what was for dinner last night? Just a couple of pics for you...

Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin

I am right in your face with my card this morning! We switched rooms at the Inn and wifi is not as good on this side of the building so I'm trying to make the  most of my time.

I used a stamp from the October 2016 Season of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin kit. It sort of looks likes a splattery stamp, don't you think? and it is splattered randomly all over the card base. I hope Tuesday Throwdown #407 agrees. Since the stamp is over a year old, I'm entering it in Retro Rubber Challenge 94 as well. I also used bits and pieces of Lots of Happy card kit and a piece of Tropical Escape DSP.

Think I have another masculine card to add to my stash...agree? Crafting With Dragonflies #111 Guy Card Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. C ya tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Tropical Escape

Peeps...aren't you amazed I'm not using the Timeless Tidings project kit today? I am! I can use something different because my son-in-love had a paper cutter I could borrow.  I decided to enter Jaydee's sketch challenge #407 at The Paper Players

I used the 6" x 6" package of Tropical Chic DSP I brought with me! I had to sponge with a tissue as I didn't bring sponges with me. Necessity is the mother of invention! Here you go...

and here is what he and our daughter treated us to for dinner last night.

Meat Lovers
Garlic, Spinach & Chicken

It was delicious, but can you say "indigestion"? AND the fire alarm went off in our hotel room...but not from my heartburn! It was a false alarm and Perry could hear the Chief's car arriving. He was Chief of our fire company in Castleton, NY for 10 years and he's been a volunteer fireman for 55 years. Our son joined the fire company when he was 16 and had to quit when he left for Huntsville, AL at 19. They both miss it. I. DO. NOT. Kudos to the men and women who lay their life on the line for others.

Tonight will be dinner at Johnny's, which is a well-known and loved Italian restaurant in Schenectady. I can't believe this is our last week here. This week we get to see Perry's sister again, my brother and sister, and some friends from our old hometown. It will be fun!

I'm already working on a card for tomorrow so thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be back tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Timeless Tidings Project Kit

Good morning peeps! Hope you are having a sunny start this Sunday morning. It's a cool 63 degrees here in Schenectady and we are enjoying the days but especially the evenings. Before I show you my card, I'd like you to see how we spent last evening. Chefs Gene and Kerri fixed us a delicious dinner.

My card today is one that is made strictly according to the kit directions. I think it is so pretty. If you have been following me, you know this kit is worth every penny and will be available September 5, which is just around the corner.

Thanks for stopping by today. See you tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Timeless Tidings and Lots of Happy ... what else!

Good morning, peeps. Hope you are having a great start of your weekend. I'm having one because I found a new location to make a card. I still have to do it standing up, but when you've got a kit, embellishments and a perfect sketch challenge, it all works. Take a look at what I mean...

Yes, the window sill in our room! Why didn't I think of this yesterday. AND...a new craft area...
Ha! So, now I don't know what goes with which kit and I really don't care at this point...I'm just having fun. I loved the sketch at As You See It Challenge #183 - Queues

First I'll show you my card and then I'll show you more queues from last night's dinner!

I cannot believe how many alternatives I can get using the two kits I have, along with the Festive Farm House cotton twine.

So now for the hibachi dinner queues...

and the line up of participants...

Jacob, Roger, Debbie

Gene, Kerri, Perry

Megan (our artist granddaughter), Austin

More appetizers and desserts...love the artistry!

For Perry's and my entree, we had filet mignon and lobster. We never tire of having that. Tonight we are eating at our daughter's and guess what we are having? I'll show you tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by.
