Seeing how I am on a Christmas card kick, I was so happy to see that I was not alone. Shopping Our Stash (SOS 362) was right there in my corner!
Ingredients:
- Current stamp set (Star of Light)
- Retired stamp set (Merry Little Labels) - I can probably get this for you through another demonstrator
- Clearance Rack Dies (Card Front Builder Thinlits)
- Current Everyday Lable Punch
- Clearance Rack DSP (Year of Cheer)
- Mossy Meadow and Old Olive Card Stock
- Sparkle Glimmer Paper
- Gold Foil Sheets
- Mossy Meadow Ink
- Versa Mark Ink
- White Embossing Powder
- Heat Tool
- Glue Dots
- Mini Dimensionals
- Stampin' Trimmer
- Big Shot
Measurements:
- Mossy Meadow Cardstock: Cut at 4 1/4" x 8", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 5 1/2" and 6 3/4"; 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" for the "bridge" part
- DSP: 4" x 1" (2) for side panels; 1" x 5 1/4" for bridge part
- Scraps: Glimmer paper, Whisper White, Gold Foil, and Old Olive
I folded the side panels on the score lines, as well as the main panel. I adhered the DSP to the two side panels. Then, I used my Embossing Buddy on the main card panel to be sure no random flecks of powder would be evident. I used Versamark to stamp the swirl of "snow" from Star of Light. I sprinkled the emboss power over it and used my heat tool to melt it.
For the sentiment, I used a stamp from Merry Little Labels and stamped in Mossy Meadow. I punched it with the Everyday Label. I adhered it to the main panel with dimensionals. I recommend using the mini ones as the regular ones throw off the folding just a tad.
I adhered the bridge DSP to the Mossy Meadow bridge piece and then adhered the ends to the bottoms of the side panels. Let it dry before pushing the card down into place. All you do is press one side into the center.
Once I cut my trees and deer out, I mounted the glimmer trees onto the Old Olive trees to make it look like they were covered in snow and adhered them to the bridge piece. I adhered the deer with mini dimensionals.
