Welcome to another Thursday hop. This week we have a color challenge...
I love these colors together...very tropical and fitting for where I live. I can't wait to see what my team members have created and I hope you will hop to each blog after you have finished here.
Here's what I came up with for today...
My card base is Blushing Bride (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), a mat of Shaded Spruce (3 7/8" x 5 1/8") and a Whisper White piece (3 3/4" x 5") for the art panel.
I used the palm frond and flamingo legs from Fabulous Flamingo to stamp directly on the panel. The palm fronds are stamped in Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce (stamped off once). Using Blushing Bride, I stamped the body of the flamingo on a piece of Shimmery White and fussy cut it. I adhered it with dimensionals over the legs I had already stamped.
On a scrap piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Painted Glass in Granny Apple Green. I cut it to look like a banner and did the same with the mat of Shaded Spruce. I won't be giving you measurements for those because I just kept cutting 'til it fit the way I wanted! Very scientific, right?
I used the die from Celebrate You to cut out "YOU" in the three colors and glued them together, slightly askew, and adhered it to the art panel. Then I put everything together and the card front was done.
Here's the inside...
I stamped one palm frond in Shaded Spruce full strength and one stamped off once. I stamped the "you are" from Thoughtful Banners in Granny Apple Green. I cut "amazing" with the Celebrate You Framelits in Shade Spruce.
This card is for my grandson who got all A+ in college except for one A-. He is amazing! One day we may see him on Broadway or TV or Disney!!
I hope you'll click on the "Next" button below that will take you to Julie Johnston's project. Clicking on each name will take you directly to that team member's project. Thanks for stopping by.
