Stampin' Up! Swirly Scribbles

I am so delighted that these Thinlits and stamp set are not retiring! I am hoping that my card fulfills the sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts #261 (Note to self: Make sure the challenge is still active! This one is closed!)

My card base is Basic Black. All of the DSP is retired, as is the doily. The swirly circles and wavy cross piece are cut from Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz cardstock was used. We made the card front at our card club on Thursday and Barb had the butterflies punched for us, along with the die cuts.

For the inside, I used the Hold on to Hope stamp set. I stamped off once for the cross in Pear Pizazz, stamped the butterflies in Melon Mambo and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. I wish I could find a better location for photographing as the shadow of my iPhone appears on the mat.

This card will be going out today to a woman who is battling cancer. We met her and her husband at an Irish pub. When we went to pay our bill, it had already been paid by an unknown patron (we discovered it was them!) Now in addition to seeing each other at the pub, sometimes our paths cross at the cancer center. The pub scene is much more pleasant!

Thank you for stopping by today. See you tomorrow!
