Stampin' Up! So Many Shells, High Tide, Colorful Seasons Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Hello again...yes, that's a long title, but my post won't take long! It's that time to hop along with some great crafters again. I am grateful to Amy and all the others who put much time and thought into it. Our theme today is based on three colors, Dapper Denim, Lemon Lime Twist and Basic Gray.

The technique I'm using is called "retiform". It is one of my favorite techniques. This one is made by marking off the sections lightly with a pencil once I layed the stamps on top of the mat. Once I had the lines drawn, I used a long piece of card stock to sponge the sections, making sure I went heavier on the edges. Check out You Tube for various tutorials. AND, since this is a beach themed card, I'm entering it in Cardz4galz Challenge #67.

My card base is Basic Gray (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock for the mat (4" x 5 1/4"). Everything is sponged in Lemon Lime Twist and all the stamping is Dapper Denim and Basic Gray.

The shells are from the So Many Shells stamp set, as is the sentiment. The sling back chair is a two-step stamp from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. I used Basic Gray and Dapper Denim for that. The drink is from that same set. It's a miracle that the birds from the High Tide stamp set didn't knock that drink over as they were walking across the card!

For the inside, I stamped everything in Dapper Denim on a mat of Lemon Lime Twist. I used another set of birds from High Tide, along with the sea grass and sand. The sentiment is from Colorful Seasons.

If you have any questions about my card, please leave a comment with your email address. In the meantime, I hope you'll click on the names listed below who have participated in the hop.
