Stampin' Up! Painted Patch Birthday Card

Happy Thursday, peeps! I think I've used this DSP more than any other I have purchased this year! I've also done my fair share of fussy cutting...take a look see...

I was inspired by Lynn Dunn. I could have die cut the gourds BUT I had used most of that pattern and only had partial scraps left...just enough to adhere 7 across the bottom!

My card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. I stamped the pumpkin/gourd images on the Cajun Craze base.

Next I cut a piece of the DSP 1 3/4 x 4 1/4 and adhered it to the right side of the card base. Using that same pattern, I cut a piece 3 x 3 and adhered it to a 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Secret Sea cardstock. I took a piece of 1 x 3 Cajun Craze cardstock and embossed it with the Rustic 3D EF. I adhered that next to the square DSP.

The sentiment from the Painted Pumpkins Stamp Set is stamped with Secret Sea ink and I sponged it with Cajun Craze ink. I adhered it at an angle to the square with Dimensionals  and adhered the entire piece to the card front with liquid glue.

Then I just adhered my fussy cut gourds across the bottom in no particular order...just what pleased my eye. I added two Pool Party Painted Patch Adhesive-Backed Dots to the upper right corner on the embossed piece and called it quits except for the inside...

The sentiments are from the retired Round We Go Stamp Set and the acorns are fussy cut from the scraps of DSP.

Thanks for stopping by today.
