Stampin' Up! Petal Palette and Springtime Foils

Since yesterday was the beginning of spring, I thought I'd make a spring card and enter it in Global Design Project's sketch challenge #GDP130

and Try it on Tuesday Mood Board - The Call of Spring

 

I just loved the colors on the board and I love birds and flowers. My card for you today has both.

My card base is Dapper Denim with a mat of Lemon Lime Twist. I used another mat of  Springtime Foils colored with my Blends. The bird is from Petal Palette, stamped in Basic Black, and cut out with a circle from the Stitched Shape Framelits. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  It is cut out with the Classic Label Punch. My little scalloped part under the sentiment is  a retired punch but you could use the new Ticket Tear Border Punch. My "ribbon" is Dapper Denim baker's twine.
