Stampin' Up! - In the Meadow

My challenges for today in alphabetical order are...

and

I have never made a square card so, thank you Claire for the great sketch challenge. You will see from my card that I placed the banners differently because I didn't want to cover my tree. I used the yellow to give the illusion of sun shining. I used the Lemon Lime Twist because I love that color AND because I could! The banners are from the new SU Annual Catalogue Basics Pack 2.

I love the "In The Meadow" stamp set, but unfortunately, it is retired. The fawn is "furry" but the mother is probably hairy (that's for the snarky sisters!)

I used Pacific Point and Old Olive Watercolor Pencils to do my sky/grass and Early Espresso for the deer. I stamped the top of the trees with retired Mossy Meadow and the trunks with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

My card base is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. The Mossy Meadow strip is a scrap I had left from a card I made the other day. My mat for the deer is Garden Green 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. The Whisper White art panel is 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for looking!

  4. What a sweet and serene little scene. And hey, if one of the sisters can say a COW is furry, then deer are more than acceptable. ;) Thanks for joining the furry fun at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
