Art Impressions Monday Makeover Madness

I just love this stamp set and haven't used it in quite awhile. Here is a link to what I am transfiguring Makeover and here she is today...same chair, different color. Same dress, different color. Same wine, different color. You get the picture, right? Of course you do!

I am continuing to use up bits and pieces that are on my desk. I don't think there's an end in sight!

Good Sunday morning, peeps! My card today is a fun one from Art Impressions Golden Oldies Aged to Perfection Stamp Set.

I colored the gals with various Stampin' Blends. My card base is Blackberry Bliss although it looks black in the photo.

For the inside...

The wine glass is from the retired SU Half Full Stamp Set and I have no idea where the sentiments came from as I had this in my stash.

Stampin' Up! Half Full

I think I'm supposed to be making a CASE of my card I posted yesterday, but I didn't get to it. I got into the wine today, which is nothing unusual...

You can't blame me, right? So, the DSP is retired but everything else is current.

Stampin' Up! Half Full and Tuscan Vineyard Meet Retiform for Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring  Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “Birthday” theme and I’m featuring the Half Full stamp set and Tuscan Vineyard for my project. I am using the Retiform Technique. 

I have explained the technique in prior posts so I won't go into that here...but here's a link to a You Tube video.

My card base is Whisper White and I covered the front with a piece of Blackberry Bliss. I cut a Whisper White mat and stamped it with stamps from both Half Full and Tuscan Vineyard. The ink I used for the sentiment and to sponge is Merry Merlot. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my Blends. For that I used Old Olive dark and light, Rich Razzleberry dark and light, and Cherry Cobbler dark and light. I adhered the art panel to the card front with mini dimensionals.

For the inside...

I ran a piece of Washi Tape (retired) down the edge to break up the white. The vineyard stamp was done in Gray Granite. I used my Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen to add a little color. The sentiment is stamped in Rich Razzleberry. 

The card is for our son-in-law this month. Our son says I should cross out the "half" because our sil likes his glass full! We can't wait to drink wine with him and our daughter in August. Our son doesn't drink wine so he would want the glass empty...lol.

Stampin' Up! Half Full

Today's card is yet another for Cystic Fibrosis. I used the same stamp set as yesterday.

On this one, I used DSP from Eastern Palace, gold foil paper, my Blends, an enamel dot and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I love this stamp set.  If you do too, I can help you purchase it! Stampin' Up! Half Full and Springtime Foils

This card is made for the Cystic Fibrosis Silent Auction for May in Maine...say that ten times fast! I'm hoping it will bring in more than ten times what it is worth!

This cause is so near and dear to my heart because my two young pen pals have been dealing with this disease since they were born. Their parents are so strong and so are the kiddos. I have made some serious cards for this cause, but this is a fun one.

Stampin' Up! Half Full

Linda Bauwin designed this stamp set for SU and I CASEd one of the cards she made with it. It's a fancy fold card, which she is famous for, but I used different card stock and created my own saying for the inside. The only items I copied were the measurements and the front art panel. I also used the Everyday Label Punch for the Garden Green piece. 

My colors are Cajun Craze, So Saffron, Early Espresso, Real Red and Garden Green. The DSP is Painted Autumn.

Because of the fold, I am entering this in TGIF 126 Technique Week Challenge although it is not a Z fold.  

The base of the card is 5 1/2 x 7 1/2, scored at 4 1/4" on the 7 1/2" side. 

Because of the DSP, in Craftyhazelnut's September Patterned Paper Challenge.

Today I am not having white wine at the Food and Wine Festival, I am having...

a Newcastle Brown Ale at the Rose & Crown outside pub! We had a wonderful first day and were back at the cabin by 6 PM!

Stampin' Up! Flourishing Phrases

Today we received a surprise package from our doctor friend in NC. She knew about the struggles her former patient, my husband, was having with his cancer/port infection. We have been under much stress over the past month and it continues. Tuesday they are going to try to put in another port, which was a failure last week. She wanted to bring us a little joy and knows what our favorite wine is. Three bottles of Childress Pinnacle wine was delivered by the big brown truck that also brings you know what! 

So, I made this card for her.

I used the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the Flourish Thinlits Dies on the front of the card. For the sentiment inside, I used a stamp from the Beautiful Bouquet set. The wine bottle and glass are from the upcoming Half Full stamp set, designed by Linda Bauwin for SU. The cork and corkscrew are from the Tuscan Vineyard set. I colored in the wine with the Rich Razzleberry pencil from Watercolor Pencils.

Our friend is one of the kindest, compassionate, most thoughtful doctors we know. Something good came out of his cancer. We never would have met her if we didn't go to her walk-in clinic at Mocksville, NC, while traveling in our RV May 2013. We are blessed to call her "friend".
