Stampin' Up! Painterly Pears Quilt Congratulations

My friends in Florida have a daughter who is having her first baby in October so I made this card for them. I don't know if it will be a boy or a girl so I covered my bases with Misty Moonlight Card Stock and Petal Pink Card Stock. Take a look see...

and for the inside...

I was inspired by Lisa Curcio. I used the Painterly Pears DSP, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Petal Pink Card Stock and Misty Moonlight Card Stock. The inks I used were Misty Moonlight and Petal Pink.

I embossed the card base with the Eyelet 3D EF. I punched 4 squares of the DSP with the retired 1 1/4" Whale Punch (I don't have too many of those because they take up too much room!)

I also embossed a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" Misty Moonlight square with the same EF. Two of the DSP squares are adhered to that in the corners. The other two DSP squares were cut diagonally and adhered to a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Petal Pink Card Stock square. I stamped the open triangles with a splatter stamp from the retired Perfectly Pears Stamp Set. Then I adhered the first square to that with Dimensionals. Next, I adhered the Petal Pink square to a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" Very Vanilla square. Then I adhered that to the card front.

The mat for the sentiment is cut with a Spellbinders die but I don't know the name of it as I inherited it from Carole. The sentiment itself is fussy cut and is from the retired Sunset Sailing Stamp Set.

For embellishments on the front and inside, I used the Opal Rounds Assortment. The sentiment inside is from the retired Treasures of Life Stamp Set. The flowers are from the retired Perfectly Pears Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you had a great St. Patrick's Day. This is the first year I haven't made a SPD card in a long time. Maybe next year!

Stampin' Up! Quilt Book Binding Card

Hello, my stamping friends. If you follow me, you know I love quilt cards. I'm not sure what this pattern is called but I do have the photo of the design from which I took it. I don't even know who posted it or where. If you know, let me know in a comment. I took her diagram and put it on my glass mat. However, I didn't do "on point" and wish I had because my first triangle is a little "off point"...lol. It's for a quilter and she'll have a laugh at my quilting attempt! Here we go...

I used scraps from the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper that I had on my table for other cards this month. I vowed not to open the new pack until I had used all the scraps! I've pretty much stuck with that vow but I don't know how much longer I can hold out...I know you know the feeling about scraps! There are 2 squares that measure 1-1/2" and 2 that measure 1-1/16.

The big sentiment is a die that I have on my magnetic board so I don't know the company from which it came as I threw away the packaging years ago. I cut it out 3 times and glued it together to raise it. I used Highland Heather card stock for that. The color of my base is Lost Lagoon, the mats are Shaded Spruce and the embossed background is Basic Beige. The mat is embossed with the 3D Eyelet Embossing Folder. I think that's such a pretty EF for quilting background.

I'm participating in the challenge 837 at Allsorts in hopes that I win the prize because my daughter loves giraffes. Isn't it cute? That's rhetorical by the way...lol.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll visit the Allsorts Challenge.

Stampin' Up! Patriotic Anniversary

Hello my stamping friends. Today's card is a CASE of my own card here. The instructions are the same as far as cutting measurements. I didn't see any sense in repeating myself...only the paper is different.

I embossed the front with the Exposed Brick 3D folder. The frame around the sentiment is from the retired Ornate Frames Die Set.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew blog hop.

Stampin' Up! Ohio Star Quilted Patriotic Birthday Card

Hello my stamping and quilting friends! I made this card for a friend who is a quilter. I'll show you my card and then show you her quilt, which was the inspiration for my creation.

Let's take a look at the front of my card again...

I used the smallest right angle triangle from The Right Triangle Die Set (retired) to create all my triangles.

The card base is Night of Navy card stock embossed with the Quilt EF (retired). For my bottom square, I cut a piece of Poppy Parade card stock to 3 3/4" x 3  3/4" .

Next I cut a piece of Basic White card stock 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". I cut the four corner squares at 1 1/16". They are from the 2022-2024 In Color DSP (retired), as are the triangles. I adhered the triangles and squares, as shown in the photo above, to the Basic White square.  I then ran it through my embossing machine with the same EF I used for the base front.

The sentiment is from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set. I stamped it in Night of Navy on a scrap of white and cut it out with the retired Banners Pick A Punch. I edged it with a Poppy Parade Stamp N Write Marker. I adhered it to the front with Dimensionals and added two Real Red stars.

Oh, I almost forgot the square in the middle of the block...it's a 1 1/16" x 1 1/16" piece of Nature's Sweetness DSP and four 1/4" squares and one 3/4" square of another pattern from the 2022-2024 In Color DSP.

For the inside...

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". I stamped the fireworks in Wild Wheat ink using a stamp from the retired Light the Sky Stamp Set. The "Happy Birthday" is from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set and is stamped in Poppy Parade ink. I added a Night of Navy star. At the bottom, I added a 1/4" x 3 7/8" strip of the aforementioned DSP.

I think that covers it...which is appropriate for a quilt card ;-)

Thanks for stopping by.
