Happy mid-week, my stamping friends. It's almost mid-month as well. I made my card today for a challenge. Let me show you...
Now for the challenge...
For Thing 1's challenge I had to use 3 colors (neutrals not included), 2 layers or more (card base not included) and 1 spotlight technique. So, I used Darling Duckling card stock for the base, black cardstock for a mat and the Basic White layer for my art panel. In addition to the Darling Duckling color, the butterflies are gold. I used Light & Dark Lemon Lolly Blends to color the flowers, Light & Dark Old Olive Blends for the leaves and Dark Timid Tiger Blend for the ring around the center of the flower. The center of the flower is colored with a Dark Crumb Cake Blend but that didn't count. I fussy cut the image from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set (retired) and adhered to the whole bouquet image. I haven't done the spotlight technique in 4 years!
I'm playing with Thing 3's challenge of including butterflies and blooms but I have no birds.
Thing 2 wants us to play along with the sketch at TSOT #676. I interpreted the sketch in a mirror image and a totally different shape. What do you think?
Can you see it? I can!!
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll play along with the Double Trouble #197 challenge. They are so much fun and have a fantastic design team.
