Happy mid-week, my stamping peeps! Since Easter is around the bend, I decided to create a card for one of our church shut ins. I think this will bring a smile to someone's face. I haven't finished the inside yet but the outside was done for the Double Trouble and TSOT challenges. (Update: I did finish the inside!) Let's take a look see and then I'll tell you about the challenges.
The Double Trouble challenge #185 is a little complicated and hopefully, I get it right! It's been awhile since I've played there. Here's the dealeo...
Thing 1: Trouble Maker
I used 3 embellishments: 3 Daffodil Party Spots
I have a number of layers on my cardbase (which is Lemon Lolly). You can't see it but the cut pieces are adhered using dimensionals to a 4 x 5 1/4" panel of Lemon Lolly. The DSP is from the Floral Delight package. To the end triangles, I adhered a strip of Lemon Lolly on the longer edges. I adhered the center triangle DSP with liquid glue. The Old Olive "circle" is cut with a die from Stylish Shapes Dies and embossed with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The duck is from the Storybook Moments Specialty DSP/Ephemera and adhered with liquid glue. The sentiment is another two layers. The Olive Green mat is cut with a die from Happy Hibiscus and the Lemon Lolly piece is cut with my trimmer. The greeting is from the retired Easter Message stamp set, stamped in Old Olive . Et voila, the Hoodie Hoo challenge is done!
Thing 2: Double Dare
I played with TSOT Challenge #664 for the design
I had intended to play with Thing 3 but I adhered the wrong sides to the face of the card. The undersides have spring flowers. Maybe they'll give me credit when they see the paper...lol!
But just in case they don't, here's the inside of my card...
Easter lilies and sentiment from the retired Easter Message Stamp Set! So just in case this is acceptable, I'll play with Thing 3: Twisted Sister as well as the lilies are seasonal flowers, I think.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our weekly Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.
