Stampin' Up! Perennial Leaves Friend Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came!! We have a sketch challenge for you today and here is what I created for our hop...

Here it is again in a larger version...

My card base is Blackberry Bliss with a mat of Basic White and a panel of Perennial Leaves DSP. The cut strip is another pattern from that DSP.

The sentiment from the Country Bird House Stamp Set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink. It is cut out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I added 5 Adhesive Backed Dragonflies to finish the front. The inside has a message that is from a retired stamp set (wishing you a quick and complete recovery) and a strip of the flowery paper.

I am such a fan of purple but a friend in church is as well. She will be having hip surgery this week so I wanted to get a card off to her as encouragement before she goes in. Her last surgery, a few months ago, did not go well due to a problem with anesthesia. If you're a praying person, could you send up a quick little prayer for Stephanie? I know we both would appreciate it.

Thank you for stopping by! Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Karen K. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. I hope you enjoy all the creativity.

  4. Karen, I really like this card and what you have done with the layout. I have so many friends who love purple, and the dragonflies are a sweet touch. I'll definitely pray for Stephanie and her medical team. I hope prayers are answered and give comfort to all involved.

    1. Thank you, Judi. That is very thoughtful of you. She is now walking with a cane. It's been a long haul as she always has complications with any surgery.
