Stampin' Up! Wild & Sweet Card for the Thursday Happy Inkin' Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a theme challenge today and here is what I created for our hop.

I made this for my daughter. She has loved Koalas since she was little and still has her "Wally". I hope she likes her card and I also hope she doesn't look at my blog! She is a fantastic mother and gave me two wonderfully talented grandchildren!!

My card base is Starry Sky (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"). I embossed a piece of Starry Sky cardstock (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") using the soon retiring Twigs & Sprigs 3D EF. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the "wally" from the Wild & Sweet Stamp Set on scrap Basic White in Gray Granite. I only wanted to color the leaves with my Light Mossy Meadow Stampin Blends so I did! I stamped the sentiment from Bamboo Beauty (retiring) in Starry Sky ink. I cut out the image with a Deckled Rectangle Die and also used a Deckled Rectangle for the Starry Sky mat.

Next I cut the shaped Balmy Blue frame with a die from Desert Details (retiring). I adhered the art panel to the frame with liquid glue. Then I adhered the frame to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The embellishments are the soon retiring Pearl Basic Jewels. I will miss them!

For the inside...
I stamped the sentiments from Celebrating You Stamp Set (retiring) in Starry Sky and Balmy Blue. I used a die from the Desert Details to cut two borders, one in Starry Sky and one in Balmy Blue...thus the darker blue "dots" when layered on each other. These are her favorite blues and to make it more feminine, I stamped the flower from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set in Gray Granite and only colored the leaves...why? because I could...lol!

I'm entering my card in these challenges:
Tic Tac Toe ~ I went straight across the middle and straight down the middle!
Double Trouble Challenge #136 "Celebrate a Special Lady" and I'm playing with Thing 1 and Thing 3 as my flowers are not the focus on my card so I can't play with Thing 2 unless Suzanne tells me otherwise!
Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. I hope you enjoy all the creativity. Thank you for stopping by!
