Stampin' Up! SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

Welcome to our SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop!  If you love fun folds, you have come to the right place! The list of hoppers is at the end of my post and I do hope you'll hop along. I'm sure you'll be in for a real treat.

My fold today is one I have never done before. Since I am still dealing with the after effects of that bad boy Ian, I had to keep it simple! My prototype uses the Alphabest Stamp Set and Best Label Punch, along with retired Close to My Heart patterned paper and cardstock from Office Max when it existed. Take a look see.

For the second one I used no cardstock but only Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper, the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Sunflowers Dies along with the sentiment from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set and punched it out with the Lovely Label Punch. I used Stampin' Blends to color the flower. Let me show you...

So, I wasn't happy with either of them and decided to experiment on another with different measurements and product. This is what I came up with...

I was happy with this one because it stands up and I wanted it for table favors.

Let me give you the measurements and product used:
  • White cardstock: 4" x 8 3/4", scored at 1", 1 1/2", 5" and 5 1/2";  fold into matchbook
  • Crushed Curry cardstock: 3 7/8" x 3 1/8" (mat for main body)
  • Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper: 3 3/4" x 3" (main body); 4" x 1"  (mat for sentiment)
  • White cardstock for sentiment: 3 3/4" x 3/4"
  • Acorns - fussy cut from Rustic Harvest DSP - adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Velcro for the closure
  • Swedish Fish or any pack of candy that fits properly inside the matchbook
  • Old Olive, Cajun Craze and So Saffron Stampin' Blends to color the leaf
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have time to hop with us. Here's the line up...
