Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge.n Here is what I created for it...
and here's our sketch...
I used Basic Black Cardstock for my card base. Using the second largest die from the Scallops & Contours Dies, I cut a panel of Soft Succulent Cardstock. I adhered that to the card front with liquid glue. On top of that I added a piece of Layering Vellum that I cut with the third largest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered that with glue dots.
Next I cut the "Sending" from the Sending Dies using Soft Succulent Cardstock and Crumb Cake Cardstock. I adhered them together with liquid glue and adhered the double layered sentiment to the card front. I had two tittles but the Soft Succulent one disappeared from my desk so I just used the Crumb Cake one and matched the "Sending Smiles Across the Miles" to it with Crumb Cake Cardstock. The sentiment, from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set, is stamped in Crumb Cake Ink and cut out with a die from the Sending Dies.
I added three Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to cover the glue dots and the card front was done.
For the inside, I cut a mat of Soft Succulent and a panel of Crumb Cake. Then I got the He's All That Stamp Set out and stamped the corners and "Together for the Long Haul" in Crumb Cake. I added the Volkswagen Bus from the He's the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I'm also entering my card in the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #637 - Anything Goes and Cardz 4 Guyz - "D" is for driving directions (double duty...lol!).
