Stampin' Up! Magical Mermaid Birthday Card

We have arrived again at mid-week. Today is magical, however, in that I am bringing to you a mermaid. Wouldn't it be awesome if they were real? Some people think they are but I am not one of them. I do love them though. This is a card we made at our Thursday card group last week and I'm just getting around to posting it. We used the Magical Mermaid Stamp Set (retired) for the mermaid.

This was Sue M.'s idea and she provided the washi tape. I struggled with this card, gotta be honest. I just couldn't wrap my brain around which direction the washi tape was supposed to go even though she gave great directions. I'm going to try it one more time and see if I have a better concept. I also have a little bit Mr. Monk's tendencies in my personality! As a matter of fact some people call me Mrs. Monk!

The mermaid is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and fussy cut. She's adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used the same stamp set for the inside, using Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape and Sahara Sand inks.

I'm entering my card in these challenges:

Through the Craft Room Door ATG

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #166

Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2138

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

  3. Cute card! It doesn’t matter which way the washi tape goes, Mrs. Monk, it’s still fun! Where did she get the mermaid washi tape?! My grandgirls would love it! TFS

    1. Thank you, Susan. I'll check with her. Sometimes she goes to a craft store in CA or MN! I know Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Joann's and Tuesday Morning stores are frequent haunts.
