Stampin' Up! Counting Sheep Birthday Card

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a color challenge. If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, welcome back!! Either way, you're in for a treat!!! I used the Counting Sheep Stamp Set and coordinating Sheep Dies to create my card for today.

We are allowed to use neutrals and I'm hoping gold is considered neutral. I know there is a big debate out there about it. If it isn't, then I'm in trouble with my team and Festive Friday! I used Polished Pink, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss for my pink and purple colors.

My design was inspired by the Global Design Project #GDP318

I cut a piece of Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered it to a Blackberry Bliss card base (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"). I stamped the sentiment from the Counting Sheep Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry.

I stamped the sheep on scrap Basic White and cut them out with the Sheep Dies. I colored their hooves with a Basic Gray Stamp N Write Marker. I highlighted their wool with a Light Gray Stampin' Blends and their faces with  Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.

The balloons are cut from a scrap of Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper using the balloon in the Sheep Dies. I cut the strings off so I could attach twine (Linen Thread). I adhered them with glue dots and then adhered the sheep with Stampin' Dimensionals. I cut the ewe's party hat out of the Blackberry Beauty SDSP and adhered it with a glue dot. I thought she needed a necklace so I colored an epoxy embellishment with my Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends. I added two other epoxy embellishments but didn't color them.

The inside is quite simple...

another stamp from the Sheep Dies in Rich Razzleberry on a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White. I had a 1/2" strip of the Expressions in Ink left over so I adhered it to the bottom.

I'm also entering my card in the following two challenges:
