Stampin' Up! Whale of a Time Pastor Appreciation Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge.

I switched the tilt of my pieces.

Our pastor is leaving the church this month and possibly the state so I decided to make this card for him and his wife to encourage them on their journey.

My card base is Terracotta Tile, the frames are cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies using the Whale of a Time DSP 6 x 6 pack . I stamped the whale from the Whale Done Stamp Set in Pacific Point ink on the envelope front. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. I used the Layering Ovals Dies for the sentiment.

For the inside sentiments, I used stamps from the Well Said Stamp Set, stamped in Night of Navy on a piece of Whisper White card stock, adhered to a mat of Pacific Point card stock. I added a strip of the Whale of a Time DSP to match the envelope flap.

I'm entering my card at Dragonfly Journeys Welcome Back! Challenge #139. I hope you'll take time to visit Jeannie's site. Not only is she a remarkable card maker but a brave, caring woman who is not a quitter, dealing with metastatic breast cancer.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

  5. I like your take on the sketch, and your choices of sentiments are so appropriate! I wouldn’t have thought to combine those inside but for a departing pastor, they’re perfect. TFS.
