Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a theme challenge.
I used the Birds & Branches Stamp Set and Birds & More Dies to create my card. I have never used this bundle before so I'm entering my card in the NBUS #18 Challenge = Never-Before-Used-Schtuff!.
Back to the task at hand...my card for the hop challenge...
My card base is Soft Sea Foam. I embossed a mat of Just Jade with the 3d Tasteful Textile EF. The Mint Macaron piece is die cut using two dies from the Birds & More set. The mat behind the sentiment is cut, as is the sentiment panel, with dies from the Ornate Frames set.
I stamped the birds on Whisper White card stock using Soft Suede for the outline and So Saffron on the female and Daffodil Delight for the male. He is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. She is just tucked under the die cut with liquid glue.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set stamped in Mint Macaron on a scrap of Soft Sea Foam. That stamp set was introduced January 2019 so it's over a year old and I can play at Retro Rubber Challenge #143.
For the inside...
On the envelope back, I adhered a piece of DSP from Flowers for Every Season. I stamped a bird on the front.
I want to thank Lori Pinto for my card inspiration.
I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

DeleteLovely, Karen! I like the way you've framed it so that the bird is peeking out from behind at his friend. That's a great die cut too - a keeper. Thanks for joining in with us again at Retro Rubber Challenge.

DeleteI love your adorable bird couple, Karen! The design is just fabulous with lots of texture and dimension! It would make a great anniversary card design, too. I wish I was disciplined like this and could remember to finish off the inside and envelope for a complete look! Thank you so much for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThank you, Darnell. I'm not always that disciplined!
