Stampin' Up! To a Wild Rose for Amy's Inkin' Krew Monthly Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop. We’ve got a "Celebrate Spring" theme today. I am using the To a Wild Rose Stamp Set, Timeless Tulips Stamp Set and the Forever Lovely Stamp Set for my card today. I hope you’ll be able to spend some time reading and hopping through all the other team projects today.

Well, if roses don't shout spring, or if purple doesn't, then maybe Mother's Day might!

I'm playing at The Flower Challenge #42 for the third and last time this month.
I was inspired by Linda Bedinger to make this card for our demonstrator group make and take on Sunday. It was my first time participating. There were only four of us and one of the demonstrator's husband. He was a great help to me as I am slower than some and you'll be seeing that card later this week. But for now, let me tell you about this card. Here is what you'll need:

Purple Posy Card Stock: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Gorgeous Grape Card Stock: 5" x 3 3/4"
Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper: 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Very Vanilla Card Stock: 5" x 3 3/4"
Purple 3/8" Tricolor Ribbon: 16"

Highland Heather Ink Pad
Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad
Detailed Trio Punch
Stamparatus
Glue Dots
Liquid Glue
Snail Adhesive
Clear Wink of Stella

On the DSP, I stamped the sentiment from Forever Lovely in Gorgeous Grape. I adhered that to the Gorgeous Grape mat. I took part of the ribbon long enough for the front and taped the ends to the back of the mat. I then adhered that to the card base front. With the remaining ribbon, I made the bow and attached it to the ribbon with a glue dot. Card front done!

For the inside, I punched the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. The sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set is stamped in Highland Heather. The rose is a 3-step stamp and I used the Stamparatus to get it lined up.  I stamped the outline in Gorgeous Grape and the other two parts with Highland Heather. I used a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to give the flower a little sparkle but you can't see it in the photo.

Because of the colors in my DSP, I am going to play with the photo at the Fusion Card Challenge.
