Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Birthday Card

TGIF, peeps. My card today uses oldie but goodie stamps and dies. Everything I used is retired with the exception of the inside...stay with me, you'll see.

My favorite card to make is a birthday card and that is the challenge at As You See It Challenge #221 - Preferences by Joanne James

and, of course, I'm still celebrating Time Out's 6th Birthday - Challenge #157!

This is part of clean-up-my kits resolution! I made a similar card here. I changed the layout a bit and colored the dragonfly with my Dark Flirty Flamingo Blend. My card used the retired Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, Detailed Dragonfly Framelits and the So Detailed Framelits. "Happy Birthday Wishes" is from the Avant Garden stamp set, which is a retired Sale-A-Bration set. The oval was cut from the current Stitched Shapes Dies.

For the inside, I used the Ornate Garden DSP, which will be available to customers April 1, 2020. (One of the perks of being a demonstrator is being able to pre-order. If you are interested in joining my team, let me know and I will explain more.) The sentiment is from the retired Eastern Beauty Stamp Set and it's cut out with the current Layering Ovals Die Set.

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy today no matter what the world is throwing our way.

  1. Very pretty! Love the dragonfly. :)

  2. Oh, I miss that lovely dragonfly. I seem to gravitate to things that fly in my cards! Nice to see her out and used again. She looks well on that lovely lacy die cut too. Thanks for playing along with us again at As You See It Challenge.

    1. Thank you, Jan, I love that set. It was my pleasure to play at AYSIC.

  3. Such pretty colors!!! A great way to participate in our challenge! I just love how you did the inside!

  4. Gorgeous....simply gorgeous! Love your beautiful dragonfly and that fabulous background!

  5. Beautiful colour palette, Karen and a great way to use that die cut background! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges.

  6. Beautiful card. I love the elgant, CAS look of the card front and then the rich, vibrant paper in the inside of the card... Great combo! Thank you so much for joining our 6th birthday at Time Out!
