Stampin' Up! Piece of Cake Birthday Card

In the words of my favorite Mary, "Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day!" I could change it to "Horrible Horrible Humidity Day" but we have been spared that this morning...we can see out our windows! Enough about the weather.

Let's bake a cake with the Piece of Cake Stamp Set. It's a delightful set and here it what I created with it.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  • Score and fold Blueberry Bushel at 5 1/2"
  • Cut off 1 1/2" from bottom front
  • Stamp Happy Birthday from Piece of Cake on Whisper White mat in bottom left corner.
  • Stamp sentiment of your choice in center of same mat and adhere to inside card base.
  • Adhere gingham piece to card front.
  • Stamp balloons in black ink with stamps from HB Gorgeous
  • Attach twine to back of balloons with Dimensionals
  • Cut scalloped circle and solid circle with dies and adhere together, then adhere to card as shown
  • Stamp and fussy cut lollipops, color them with marker
  • Stamp cake on scrap of WW, color with markers and punch out
  • Punch out Blueberry Bushel cake stand and adhere to circles so it lines up with the BB card front
  • Adhere cake above cake stand
  • Adhere lollipops to top of cake with a Dimensional
Phew, I'm exhausted, aren't you? This was a card that Meg had made as an example for us and it was fun! I feel like the card loosely follows the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches #517. What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our Thursday Blog Hop.

  1. So cute! Love the fold and the paper is perfect for a festive birthday! And SO glad your humidity is down!! Ours isn't but at least the morning was a little cooler than it's been. To prep us for the mid-90's this afternoon, I guess!! :)
