Stampin' Up! Healing Hugs Get Well Card

At Jari's on Thursday she prepared a card kit with the Healing Hugs Stamp Set. This is a photo of her card.

I didn't have time to make it so I brought the kit home and this is how I made mine...

The card base is Crumb Cake. I stamped the mat of Fresh Fig with Fresh Fig ink using the rose from Healing Hugs and the dot stamp from the retired Gorgeous Grunge set. This color was retired this month. On a scrap piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the rose in Rich Razzleberry. I stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow. There are no dies for this stamp set so we fussy cut the rose and the leaves. I was so glad I had both these sets so I could make it today AND I am thankful for my iPhone camera (even though my Fresh Fig looks nothing like Jari's!) Anyone who knows me, knows any shade of purple is my favorite color, mix it with beige and a little dark green...ooh la la! Now Card 4 Galz Challenge #99 Your Favourite Colour Challenge knows it too!

Jari had the squares cut for us already and I'll list the measurements below. She used the Stitched Shapes Dies for the Very Vanilla square and a die from the Layering Squares Dies for the Crumb Cake square.

To assemble the card, I ran a piece of 3/8" Braided Linen Trim around the stamped mat and tied a bow. (The camera picked up the flowers on her panel much better than on mine.)

I adhered the squares together with liquid glue and popped the rose up with dimensionals. Then the leaves were adhered with liquid glue. The art panel was then adhered to the card front.

The sentiment was stamped on Crumb Cake with Rich Razzleberry ink and cut out with a die from the retired Petals and More set. I added the  Pearl Basic Jewels to the sentiment and art panel.

On to the inside...

I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig and the flowering stalks in Crumb Cake, second generation. I used my Detailed Trio Punch for the corners.

The Healing Hugs stamp set is one of my favorites. I hope you like it too! Thanks for stopping by.
