Stampin' Up! Bubble Over Birthday Card

Yesterday our card group met at Jari F.'s home and we made this fun card with the Bubble Over Photopolymer Stamp Set, which has been discontinued, unfortunately.

Before I go on about how the card was made, I just want to tell you she and her husband prepared a wonderful lunch. The pièce de résistance was the frozen cheesecake dessert with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Why didn't I take a picture? It was worth a thousand delicious bites and she will be sharing the recipe with the group!

So, on with the card...Jari had all the DSP cut for us so all we had to do was adhere them together. We stamped the bottles in Tempting Turquoise (retired), Granny Apple Green and Calypso Coral. We then cut them out with the matching dies. She had already cut the bottle caps and straws for us. We stamped the labels and die cut them. The stamped stars are fussy cut but you can use a 1/2" circle punch. The sentiment is a die cut also. This is such a cute, versatile set. I wish I had purchased it before it was discontinued!

The inside...well, I messed up! My masking was not perfect but I figured the white space was the label and it's being viewed from the back! And my stamped sentiment was double stamped as the paper moved when I re-inked it. Now, if these had been beer bottles, I could have done something snarky with that BUT, I stamped on a scrap of Whisper White, cut it out with a die she happened to have out, edged it with my Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker and adhered it with mini dimensionals.

I'd like to enter my card in the Seize the Birthday Challenge #168 - Cover the Card
Thank you for stopping by today.

  1. You should enter this in our Paper Player challenge this week, too...you still have time!
I find when my masking is not quite perfect, I just fill in the gap with a blender pen and some ink...usually works fabulously. Really, though, it's not that noticeable! A fun, bubbly, happy card!

    1. Thanks, LeAnne, for suggesting PP challenge, but even though the colors match and it's a summer beverage, it wasn't a CAS card. There are too many layers, lots of stamping and cutting...Claire would probably frown upon that :-)
