Stampin' Up! Very Vintage Meets Butterfly Gala

Happy New Year, peeps. Hope your New Year's Eve was fun and safe. My son, Gene, and I spent the morning and afternoon with my Godson and his parents. Gene and I had our traditional snacks at night, played games, put on our own music, turned on the TV and turned off the sound so we could watch the ball drop. So, now we have three holidays behind us without Perry and two without Tini. I have made some resolutions and carried out three of them this morning. I will not be writing down two that I hope to accomplish but I can tell you what they are...I want to get back to making a card a day AND I want to mail a card a day...oh, I guess I just wrote them down, didn't I!!!!

My first card of the year I created for two challenges:

For the first challenge, I am CASEing my upline's card, which she created and posted December 23, 2018, here and here is a photo of it...

Here is my CASE of it...

I decided I wanted to go monochromatic using Balmy Blue ink, ribbon, DSP and card stock. I used the Butterfly Duet punch and Butterfly Gala stamp set for my butterflies. The DSP is from the Gingham Gala 6" x 6" pack. These products will be available January 3, 2019.

For the inside of my card I punched the butterflies out of the Whisper White mat with the Butterfly Duet punch. I used the Detailed Trio punch to round the corners.

The front and inside sentiments are from the Very Vintage stamp set.

Measurements and a partial list of products are listed below.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you the best for 2019. I'm pretty sure it will involve traveling for me...and trying to keep my other resolutions that I really HAVEN'T written down!

  3. Great CASE, Karen. You have turned a corner with the passing of holidays without your Perry. That said, you still have a ways to go. God Bless you in the New Year, friend.

  4. Karen, you've selected a lovely card to case with one equally as pretty! Crushing over the blue; swooning over the butterflies! So thrilled to see this gem in the Inkspirational gallery~
