Stampin' Up! One Wild Ride for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Hey! Happy 2019 and welcome to the first Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop of the New Year!!

Our team has a sketch challenge today and I brought out the motorcycle for it.  Yep, it's one wild ride that my daughter and son-in-love just got. Here's their new baby...
My sil is on the left, Kerri is in the middle, of course, and the guy on the right could be a doppleganger! It's a touring "bike" and I can only hope they'll tour to SWFL!

So, I brought out the One Wild Ride stamp set to create my congratulations card for the "new" addition to their family. But before I show you my card, I must show you the sketch...

and here is what I made for it...

Over at Little Red Wagon: Challenge #478 it's the theme of "Hey, Newbie!" I think my card fits the theme, don't you?

My card base is Basic Gray. I have a mat of Black Foil (new to me) and one of Galvanized Metallic paper (new to me). Mea culpa! Amy just reminded me that that Gal is retired. I have not separated out my retired items, which I usually do as soon as the list comes out. I think life REALLY got in the way! I have a project for today! I have never used this paper before (AND you won't see it again on Thursdays!) I had no idea how it would turn out with ink on it. I stamped the Harley in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Galvanized Metallic paper and cut it out with the Layering Ovals Framelits. The scalloped Black Foil mat was also cut with the LOF. The ribbon is Metallic 3/8" Silver/Black. I think it sort of makes it look like the Harley is on the road.

Due to time crunches this week, I have not designed the inside of the card yet.

I hope you have enjoyed the outside of my card today. There are more projects to look at by clicking on the "next" button to hop to the ever-so-charming Julie Johnston and/or click on each name listed below for our other talented team mates. Happy hopping!

    1. Thank you, Mary. Yep, they wear all their gear all the time no matter how hot it is. They don't go out in rain or snow either.

    1. Thank you, Shelagh. I won't be riding as I fell off one once and have had no desire to do it again.

  4. Lovely! Great bike, both the card and the real deal. You and me both got noticed for using retired items. Too late to change it, but I did update to say it was retired.
