Stampin' Up! Layering Alphabet Edgelits Dies

I watched a video by Tami White using the Layering Alphabet Edgelits Dies and bumped into a challenge at Always Fun - Lots of Layers and one at Crafty Hazelnuts Patterned Paper. I haven't played at Word Art Wednesday in a long time, so it is fitting today as Jesus is my hero.

Remember now, I gave you a day off from seeing the Loyal & True stamp set with the ODB Patriotic Collection but I'm back again with it today!

My card base is Blueberry Bushel. I cut a mat of Whisper White and ran it through my Big Shot using the Corrugated TIEF.  Then using four different patterned paper sheets, I cut the letters one at a time with the Big Shot. I adhered them to another piece of the OBD, snipped off the edges and glued it to the embossed mat. You can't see that the letters were all different because I covered them up with silver foil. Tami shows you how to do this in her video.

For the inside...

I used yet another piece from the Patriotic Collection. I stamped the "you are my hero" circle in Blueberry Bushel and adhered it to my card base. There is enough white space to write a note to a military recipient. However, if there is another hero in your life, you could send it to that person!

Thank you for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow for our Thursday Happy Inkin' Krew blog hop.

    1. The reason I bought it was because I placed such a larger order that I got it half-price...I think...that's what I tell myself anyway! In reality it probably was to make my quota for a quarter...lol. In any event, I needed to watch several different videos on how to use it before I felt comfortable with it. Now I love it. Thanks, Julie, for leaving a comment!
