We had a wonderful time at the birthday party today and Kelen liked his homemade card the best of all! He's a very polite boy! He liked the colors especially.
So, it seems like everyone has been celebrating Christmas in July the past few days and I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. I watched Lisa Brown do her cards this past week and I just love to hear her talk. She is from Texas but she reminds me so much of a Florida friend whose roots are from Georgia. I also love Lisa's cards. Here is my take on one she created this week.
My card base is Crumb Cake with a mat of Mossy Meadow and a Very Vanilla piece stamped with the Sheet Music stamp. I used the Christmas Pines stamp set to stamp the pines in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. The sentiments are from the same stamp set. I added a rhinestone to the bow, which is cut with a die from the Pretty Pines Thinlits. The paper is an unknown DSP. The sentiment on the front is punched with the Everyday Label Punch. I added retired enamel dots to it and also stamped the sides with a stamp from that set.
You can see Lisa's video on how to make this here. I'm playing at Crafty Hazelnut's site, which I haven't done in quite awhile. You can see that here. I also think my card fits the sketch at Sketch Saturday #522
Thank you for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow.
Very pretty Karen! I love the pine branches stamped on the musical notes background. Pretty design! :)
